Thanks for the recommendations! I've been meaning to pick up "Poking a Dead Frog" for a while now. I really like J. Michael Straczynski's book "The Complete Book of Scriptwriting." Really in-depth look at doing the work and getting the work. Also have David Trottier's "The Screenwriters Bible" which covers formatting, structure, and the writing process plus marketing. My copies are from the mid 1990's so have some outdated info and I don't know if there are revised editions that cover current things. Another interesting book that covers more the how stuff gets made end of things is "Screen Plays: How 25 Scripts Made It To A Theater Near You - For Better or Worse" by David S. Cohen.
"save the cat" really helped me a lot! I would like to add some recommendations: "Your Screenplay Sucks!" by William M. Akers, this book helped me to point out a lot of clichés in my screenplay, and help you to clear some of the doubts in selling out your screenplay (even though i didn't even sold a screenplay before lol)
Thanks!
Oh wow thank you! 😊
