- Sheet Pan Eggs in a Hole! Plus, fancy baked beans for a quick & easy weeknight dinner.
Hey! Thanks for watching!
I'm Paula. I'm a former professional cook and overall eating enthusiast.
I started this channel because I love making dinner and I love eating dinner.. but mostly it's because all I've ever wanted in life is to have my own cooking show. When I didn't get a callback after submitting my tape to Food Network in 2003, I put that dream to rest for a while. Until I clued in, I can do it myself on UA-cam!
I love sharing the tips I've learned from professional kitchens and tidbits from my holistic nutrition education. But mostly I just want to show you how to make dinner. (See what I did there?) 😄
My cooking style is simple but flavourful. I cook with a lot of veggies but I'm not vegetarian. For me, a typical dinner is plant-forward, budget-friendly, non-fussy, and really delicious. As a step-mom, I make a lot of family-friendly comfort food, as well as a lot of simple, realistic dinners for one (or two).

“Beans and toast” for a solo dinner. That’s so me! Now validated! 😂
Literally every part of this video is comforting. Yes to all the the things you said yes to today!
❤️
This was a better idea than my dinner. I just finished writing a final paper that took 3 days straight... I was so done with everything that my dinner was a bagel with cream cheese haha I had absolutely no creativity left in me LOL!
Ooh but a bagel and cream cheese can really hit the spot sometimes! Congrats on finishing your paper!! 🎉🎉
Love this kind of video! Quick, easy, healthy-ish (lots of sugar in the beans but could swap), economical. You're talking my language 🙂
I’m so glad to hear that! I’ll keep making em 😄
Lots of good ideas in this video. The first thing I will do is add some fresh spinach to a can of baked beans. That sounds amazing! The eggs also look delicious.✨
Baked beans on toast is practically our national dish in the UK lol. Really like your dinner idea, it looks so tempting 🤤 My mind's been blown with that packed cottage cheese- I hope I can find that too☺️
Haha I lovvve beans on toast! Any way I can get it!
@@HowToMakeDinner Remind me to send you my recipe for Instant Pot "brown beans."
I'm only about one minute in, and I'm giggling to myself. I do the same type of stuff!! I literally opened and heated a can of beans, added some smoky cumin, some Monterey Jack cheese, and had it with toast just the other night!! Delicious, super filling, and my favorite thing... Easy!! Ok, back to the video 😂
I am completely into this. I've got to look for the cottage cheese like that in my local store. I wish my husband wasn't such an ahole. He is a total carnivore and doesn't understand the concept, or chooses not to, of grains, legumes or beans, and vegetables being a complete meal. Anyway, I love this video! Thanks for sharing with us and keeping it realistic!!
There’s something so comforting about a can of beans eh?
Yum! love it!
How to make dinner when you've got slim pickin's in the fridge. (Except for all that spinach, that was a random bonus!)
`You are so beautiful, great video.
Ahh this is so real and relatable, I love it! I've roasted a drained can of white beans with garlic cloves, salt, pepper, olive oil for lunch the past few days as it's been so cold and rainy lately, nice meal or a snack to be honest. Your eggy toast looks incredible!
Sounds so cozy!! The eggy toast would go well with those :)
Ha! My very realistic Tuesday night dinner was leftover sourdough garlic toast topped with sautéed spinach (more garlic plus some red pepper flakes) and sunny-side eggs. Which I also cooked slightly too long! 😉 Great minds, eh?
Whoa!! What a coincidence!!
That looks amazing! Right up my alley, for sure. I'm imagining dipping the cheesy crust into the last of the beans - excellent!
Yep you’ve got the right idea xo
Looks delicious healthy and full of protein, and so quick and easy, I will definitely be making this as I always have the minimum ingredients needed. Cannot find the pressed cottage cheese yet.
Any cheese will do! Even a regular cottage cheese I suppose
Looks good! I've been playing around with buying some silicone baking sheets, how do you like them? Also, regarding the chili crunch... my local store had two kinds, serrano and habanero. I love spice and dang! The serrano nearly made the top of my head pop off despite being moderately hot lol! I now use it on more things than I should probably.
I do like the mats! I only have one, and I still use parchment paper for some things, but it’s a nice option
@@HowToMakeDinner I kept thinking what a good idea the silicone (or parchment) was for this because the next batch of cookies might not benefit from the baked in garlic taste. LOL
Just read you rbio-I’m glad you’re here instead of on Food Network where I’d never see you. That said, you deserve every success!
Aw that’s so nice of you! Glad you found me :)
Canned stewed tomatoes are also great with eggs for those that don’t like baked beans
Nice!! I’ll try that
3:42 I absolutey coudn't agree more. =) So very true.
Edit - The wilting-time-jump around 5:49 - Is that actually how much those reduced/wilted?? It deeeefinitely looks like you took some back out...? haha I'm seriously amazed if you didn't.
Thanks for the awesome videos. =)
Glad you agree! Yes I chopped some bits out. The full wilt took about 60 seconds!
