RETIRED Mickey's Toontown City Hall Clock Tower Chimes Character Arrival at Disneyland (2019)

From December 2019. The mallets and one of the whistles were unfortunately not functioning on this occasion. This clock would chime to announce the City Hall entrance of a character in Mickey's Toontown.
Sadly the clock did not seem to run during Disneyland's phased reopening as walkaround characters were not active, and as of Toontown's makeover, the clock and chimes have been disabled and the City Hall is no longer in use as a character entry point. The cannons and fireworks remain on the facade but do not appear to be in use.

Lets hope when toontown reopens in 2023, they will fix all the mechanisms

I finally have an update on the clock matter, according to Cast Members, the clock doesn't run anymore, and there also appears to be a barrel lock on the front door to keep it locked, and tables have been placed in front of it. The cannons and fireworks remain on the facade but I have not seen them in use. Sad they disabled such a whimsical part of Toontown.

So much. They went from pie-throwing cartoon spirit to Disney Afternoon Boulevard 2. I went last Christmas and they didn't even have Christmas decorations for any of the new pieces of Toontown so it was only half-decorated. 😢

The trumpeters should come out earlier and faster than they did, too.

They definitely did feel slower than they should've been. Multiple parts of the clock needed maintenace. Hopefully when it's back up and running they'll have fixed it up for then. I might add that one to the list later.
