While I prefer the more practical/applied test that Hobie does, Thereeltest testing methodology is not without merit. It gives a demonstration of gear trying to control variables, to allow a compare. all be it a narrow demo and not representative of real world performance. It can however give u an idea if a reel is even worth considering. Most jdm bfs are going to get the job done. Some more capable at some jobs more than others. You should teach thereeltest what's the actual prupose of a BFS setup. Imagine casting overhead with full force while having a 4lb line and a 1/16oz lure. Very intelligent fishing btw. But that's what you get when you're on the water for no more than 3 hours a day and with less than 20 days of fishing in a year🤷♂
People can use fishing tackle for whatever they want. I prefer to use mine to catch fish 😂
Besides without someone who has put time in bfs fishing under several real world conditions and use cases there would not be a way for them to put into words the very subjective performance of different bfs gear. Thats where Hobie-Wan Kenobi Shines!
P.S I have BFS combos i cant cast over head at all...lol let alone heave ho cast em! ;)
Everyone makes different styles of content. Gives us viewers a wide range of information to be entertained or assist with making a shopping decision.
There is no sense contacting The Reel Test as he is not able to handle any objection against his Shimano commercials. Hobie Wan is by far the better angler, more knowledgeable, non-narcissistic and deeply skilled. The Reel Test - have you seen his last video - seems to be lost to narcissism….
@@arnemueller2112 He is annoyed by the fact that the new alphas and zillion have completely buried Shimano lineup. Everyone talks just about these two.
My man! Glad you invest in these new offerings and give us the skinny. Thanks for being analytical and thorough. I use my bfs gear primarily for bass and panfishing on open water. My closest trout stream is 3hrs away so hard to justify a reel that will only shine a few times a year. I do like the gekkabijin a lot but also have a couple alphas air tws. I hate to admit it but Diawa is taking over as my most used bfs reels. I’ll be curious to see how the new aldebaran performs. Like you I’m not crazy about the aesthetics. I should really sell my curado bfs, I just bought it because I was excited for usdm bfs. I like my scorpion and aldebaran better than the curado so it’s in last place of 6 bfs reels.
I like the Curado BFS. I agree with Daiwa really taking the BFS market over. Indo have high hopes for the new Aldebaran BFS though.
TQ sir for your info
You are very welcome!!!

I think translation is creating confusion.

Nice this video is hot shit ! Thanks Hobie-Wan Kenobi !
You are welcome. I was excited to see the difference between these reels as much as everyone watching.
