Dear Lord, so many good actors in this movie
Back in 92, I remember feeling short changed when I sat in the cinema and watched the end credits.
Never wanted a film to contiue more, in my live !
Oh hey, the lieutenant trying to recruit them all is Jared Harris.
Funny recognizing him after all these years, performing a much smaller role than he often does now.
The words, attitude, and appearance of Hawkeye in this scene have always struck me as being a unique and profound expression of the American spirit of freedom and liberty.
"You do what you what you with your own scalp, and do not be telling us what we ought to do with ours."
"I do not consider myself subject to much of anything."
Hawkeye, standing there looking strong, free, capable, independent, defiant, experienced in taking care of himself, holding his rifle in well practiced hands. This is not a man that you order around, or demand obedience or subservience from.
the person who were speaking for the Twin River Mohawk of the sixth Nation is Dennis Banks 💫
Indian Time is Day and Night only. When You can see and when You can't see...so sleep.
Beautiful
Awesome storytelling 😊
When you look up the real historic migration pattern and map of where many beloved Native American tribes migrated from, in the world, and how far back in history it predated from even before the era presented in this movie. Nostalgia! Oseyo and maganda!
Magwa looks puzzled at 6am. Only British know what a clock is. ⏰️ We live on Indian Time in the past as Americans.
Don't trust Magwai.. and don't feed him after midnight.
American pride from the beginning of the colonization!! America now, and forever!!!
Shame you weren't proud of american before colonisation
They were mostly social and religious outcasts from the beginning, makes sense
Shout out to the militias. These guys😢
lol that's young Jared Harris on the horse.
I thought British policy was to make the world England, Sir!
That was the English attitude at the time and it hasn't changed today.
Except that the majority of the colonists of the time considered themselves just as British as the redcoats they eventually fought against
Clever people.
Yeesh! What a casual arrogant dismissal of French armies that had conquered most of the European continent and held European monarchies in terror just half a century earlier.
In real life Webb had fought the French previously in Europe. Including being defeated at Fontenoy. I presume this dismissive attitude is just for the film.
And half a century later too...
That's a lot of hyperbole.French was certainly an impressive army at this point, and for much of European history, but not until Napoleon did they conquer most of the European continent, or much of it at all i fact. Wars before the 7 Years and Napoleonic wars, led to the main powers stealing little bits of land here and there, and that's about it - keeping the balance of power
@@Rowlph8888 The French were winning at this stage of the war.
What stick fighter's from Ireland 🇮🇪. 😂
Don;t think so, I imagine its the forerunner to what Lacrosse is today. Lacrosse is a native american sport.
