Love the sound of a GWR or British Railways Standard from a standing start on a gradient! Many locomotives of many different railways are great machine's but for a standing start pull away I like the GWR best

I'd like to see 7819 in steam again on the SVR, my favourite locomotive growing up; she had a good turn of speed as well, to my mind outpacing her stablemate Bradley Manor. Unfortunately she was in the early black BR uniform so that's how I remember her. Overall I don't think that BR black suits the Manors! How do you feel as a cameraman?

Hello Matt and thank you once more. This is a preserved line that forms the last 7 miles of the ex GWR branch line from Newton Abbot to Kingswear. The line is still Network Rail as far as Paignton and so ideal for visiting mainline excursions such as those running currently on Sundays. Kind regards, Alan

The Exhaust on GWR locos is due to no Kyle/Chap read KILL/JOY thats why they have such a good bark under load
