    There are people that don't know. And everyone should learn to do these two maintenances at the least because they are going to save a lot of money.

      That’s absolutely right! The main focus of this series is that I want people to save money, but also learn how stuff works and how it’s done.
      Hopefully they will try it at home, if That happens, then mission accomplished!
      Thank you for your support, I appreciate you watching!

    Some cabin filters dont say "up", they just have an arrow pointing and saying "air flow", or some such words. In that case the arrow is pointed dowm to the floor. Airflow is top-down.
    We love this channel, you explain so clearly. It helps that Toyotas are the best vehicles on thr planet.
    Mr Viking, greetings from Warren County.

    Ok, also, I love the new wheels and tires!! I have a 21’ SR5 Premium with the black TRD wheels with magnetic gray paint. My wife has the 20’ 86 Hakone Edition with the bronze wheels. Makes me want the bronze to “match” our little 86. I’m a Toyota nut. I have owned a Corona, Celica, Supra, Tacoma, Tundru, and 2 Land Cruisers. Finally settling down with our 4RUNNER, we call “Major Gray”, and our beautiful 86! Toyota for life!! I love your videos, thanks again brother!!

      I’m right there with you, I’ve owned several Toyota’s myself. You’ve had some really cool ones. You should do it, Bronze wheels on yours wouldn’t just look great but also match that gorgeous 86.

      @@VikingsGarage VG: How about doing a quick video on changing the 4Runners front and rear wiper blades? Spring is a great time to change the blades as they are usually pretty beat-up from the ice over the winter.

    Just did the cabin filter on my 22 4runner, went with the K&N VF2000. Its service able and the plan is to wash it every oil change.

    Have you changed a filter for the OEM TRD cold air intake? What a PiTa! Also do you know what filter they recommend now that they discounted the OEM TRD oiled filter? I’m guessing just the regular paper one. Great vid’s btw. Keep ‘em coming!

      Yes the cold air TRD is a pain in the 🍑
      I would have to say regular oil filter, which is a great filter, nonetheless.

    I get a sharpie pen and write the date I installed on the side of the filter. Be surprised you forget when last changed as time passes.

    I'm a little surprised that although you mentioned using aftermarket cabin filters you didn't mention how most aftermarket brands don't have arrows on them that indicate which side goes up but instead have arrows that should point down in the direction of air flow.

    • @VikingsGarage
      @VikingsGarage  2 роки тому +1

      I wouldn’t know, I never use aftermarket filters 🤣.
      I do now. I’m going to assume most of us do read the instructions. Please forgive me.

      @@VikingsGarage Yeah. I did this the last time when I replaced my OE with an after market one and did not realize until I replaced it recently. Extremely easy to miss the subtle difference on what the arrow denotes.

      You'd be surprised at how many folks assume that up and air flow are the same BUT if that was true then dirt wouldn't collect on top of the old filter instead it would be trapped in the blower motor mounted below the filter.

    • @VikingsGarage
      @VikingsGarage  Рік тому

      I do not, for many reasons.
      If you will clean then regularly perhaps but I’m not going to say is the best way to filter your engine air. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @njsongwriter
      @njsongwriter Рік тому +1

      The Project Farm channel discs test comparing some brands of air filter. While K&N improved performance, it did so at the expense of not being as effective at keeping dirt out is the engine.
