Finally world's 1st device with Snapdragon 8 gen 1 spotted that's exclusively made by Samsung on Qualcomm's architecture. Powered by Micron RAM & may be Micron storage. Great to see OIS on main camera. Thanks PBK.

Thanks! I feel its a decent phone, but not too crazy about it. I have also herd from one or two people that there might be a glitch or two with the processor being a bit laggy but I'm sure that will be fixed with a software update. Build quality isn't bad and the price is decent but I personally would wait to see what other phones come out with this processor and how they are built. Also I would want to see the version of this phone that they will release with the under display camera and see if there are any differences with the internal design or build.
@@PBKreviews When it launches in India i think the bugs and heating issues wil be solved.
Other companies will do much better than this.
But I want the clean android experience.
Let's see if the under display camera model of this gets released

did you notice any kind of water proofing on the phone? I know its rated for splashes thanks to the P2i coating, but does it seem to have any kind of ingress protection?
It's definitely not rated beyond splashes, but I dropped mine in the water at the beach for a good 5 seconds but it was fine after. I turned it off and sat it in silica beads for good measure. Although, when I recently opened up the phone, I noticed a tiny amount of metal corrosion and discolouration in the top right corner at the back of the phone, so something probably did get in

Is the frame plastic?
frame borders are plastic coated yes but the midframe is aluminum alloy.
so, is the body made of plastic or metal???
The midframe is aluminum alloy but has a plastic border. When the phone is taken apart, you can see where the black plastic border begins and the silver metal midframe ends.
@@PBKreviews Oh i see, i was a bit confused cuz some people did try to scratch the frame and it was showing properties of a plastic frame, and motorola was claiming a reisin coated aluminum frame which basically got me all kinds of confused 😂😂 thanks for the reply buddy much appreciate it!
@@rjtastic ya, until you actually take it apart you cant know for certain. So those people who just scratch the outside and make a judgment is not accurate since so many manufacturers use aluminum mid frame which is coated or bordered by plastic borders. Main reason for this I would belive is unoform signal for the antenna all around since signal doesnt do well with metal. The only fact judgement that can be made from a scratch test from the outside is to judge if its a uni body all aluminum frame or not a uni body aluminum frame meaning one piece of aluminum which has been cnc milled and all around is metal with the midframe itself. Since just because the border is plastic coated or another material doesn't necessarily mean the midframe itself is plastic. I can't even remember the last plastic midframe phone i came across. :) hope this helps answer your question

What do you think about the cooling system (VC, heat pipe, etc) of this phone? Compared to maybe Xiaomi 11T Pro?
The cooling system on this phone is a 3D layer of graphite (basically layers of graphite on top of each other). So it doesn't use a vapor chamber. I feel the 3D graphite is better in longevity (meaning it will last longer) since the water vapors can evaporate over time for the VC. Effectiveness wise, both the graphite and the vapor chamber seem to be fairly equal in performance.

That "copper plate with adhesive" on the processor looks so thin. Is it copper tape or are all the copper plates on top of the processors like that? Thank you for the teardowns.
For phones it has to be somewhat thin to be able to be placed and fit on top of the processor and be flush with the top shield where the heat transfer tape/film is. Also it is a copper plate not a tape.

Hi, thank you! It is basically a rebranded edge x30 for the US market but does have some very minor differences for example a 4800 mAh battery on the edge+ 2022 vs the 5000 mAh battery on the x30. But for the most part the same phone.
Thank you, I am replacing the battery on my Edge+ 2022 and can't find a direct replacement battery, so I'm trying to find out if the X30 battery or something else would work.
Did you search the battery by the model number of the battery itself? Also I would think the X30 battery should fit and work fine. The layout and dimensions of the phone should be the same.

looks like it's a NA50 battery. here is a link to one but it's out of stock, however it's available on ebay as well if you search NA50 battery. Pretty much all Motorola batteries are like this one. Not sure about it being cheap quality but I am not very familiar with battery types and quality to be able to give an educated opinion about it.

Unfortunately. @5:10 in the video mention which parts need to be removed to get to replacing the screen. Some screen replacements come with the frame pre installed so if you purchased on like that, you would transfer all the parts from your old frame to the new one.
Does it have a feature to stabilize when shooting video and not to shake or not support it?
The main camera has OIS (optical image stabilization) so should help with stabilizing video.

You're welcome. Doubt I would be doing a video on that model phone since not many people would be interested in viewing it.
This chipset is as disastrous as 888, it's hot, battery consuming and unstable performance. At least on this phone. We'll see if other phone could live up its potential.
I haven't used the device long enough or thoroughly tested it but yep if there is any issues like that, I would either guess they would eventually release updates to fix the problems or have to see like you said how other phones will handle the processor.

Hi, yes the sides are coated in plastic/polycarbonate but the midframe is aluminum. You're welcome.
Looks like stainless steel to me. Stainless steel has exactly this shine, while aluminum has a more matte effect.

My moto edge 30 pro,fell down in water while i give it to repair shop after than performance of the phone down and video can't capture it only camera working , sometimes even that hangs and closed ,once I click on video button it get hanged,pls suggest how can i recover it like how it before fell down to water.kindly suggest

I think the Indian version of this phone known as Moto Edge 30 Pro has wireless charger and also reverse Wireless Charging
Hey this was so amazingly helpful- I dropped my phone and it hit the floor wrong and wouldn't turn back on. I also forgot to melt the adhesive tape so I need a new back case but at least I got the phone up and running again 🫶 phewf because I gotta pay it off for another 18 months haha.
I give it a repairability score of 2/10 though 😅
