Uhhh doesn’t that last solver output when facing the river bet show KK (quads) folding well over half the time?? Obviously that’s some sort of error, or am I just missing something? Perhaps that’s the amount of the time you wouldn’t have KK combos since they would have been bet off on the turn?
Most players at my table are a lot more aggressive. They would bet that river after the 1/3 flop bet and check behind turn, simply because you checked the turn. Someone will also overbet river with all their range: Ax, Kx, missed draw.
Unrelated to this specific video, but I have watched many of your videos and am interested in how you factor rake into +EV situations that are "close". I haven't seen all but the ones I have don't discuss this... Thanks in advance.
Hey I like your videos and I wanted to know if you could make a video about about GTO and how to implement it into live cash post flop play. I’ve been playing live cash for 9 years and I’m just starting to get into GTO. I have an understanding of board textures and range advantages from certain positions. I often utilize a linear 3betting strategy as I hardly face 4 bets at my stakes. I’ve also been implementing range bets 1/3 or 1/4 pot bets on static flops with most of my range, usually sizing up big on the turn/river or sometimes over bets as well as balancing checks with strong and weak hands. I practice gto pre flop range opening strategies and sizings and I try my best to balance my values to bluffs but will deviate some times depending on if certain opponents are under or overbluffing. What I really want is to get a better understanding of MDF (though it seems this is not needed at my current stakes as players are very fishy and I earn most from value hands) and also how to really benefit from implementing GTO strategies into my post flop playing. I currently play 1/2 in Texas where our max buy ins are $500. I want to prepare myself for the move up to 2/5 here as the 2/5 games here are uncapped match the stack and are notoriously known to be tougher than typical 2/5s. Thanks!
That bet size on the flop is so small but I get it. You want second pair or inferior hands calling you and you gave them a price to do that and you just get the absolute worst turn card possible.
Why do you keep saying river “giving me 2 pair”? You already had 2 pair on the turn-the ten is counterfeited and meaningless. Other than bringing in Broadway straights.

Small typo, the river didn't gave you 2 pairs, you had 2 pairs on turn already, river simply nullified your kicker at this point
yeah, i also wanted to point this out

If I had a nickel for every time James thought the smaller preflop raise size would "get the job done" at low stakes....
You'd have at least enough to post a big blind in this game!
Morning! Hope everyone had a great christmas.

The max buyin + straddle makes this game pretty strange since you are essentially 40BB effective.
Hey man, just wanted to say a big thank you! Been following your content since like 2016 or so, and I'm really happy you've been successful with it

I’m such a fish, I would have called that river bet XD thanks for the video
What about turning ATo into a bluff on the river? Or are you only jamming value and have no bluffs?
Ouch... Yep, that turn card really hurt.
Just fold, bro.... 😅
8:14 -> NOT two pair
Thank you as always!!
Imagine thinking the river improves your hand instead of counterfeiting your kicker 🤣
Can’t believe SB tanked 😂
If you’re going to fold to a single additional bet even when you make trips, why call the flop?
Why do you play 1/2?
how long you grow beard?

Exactly
thx james

Didn't I specifically say the T is meaningless?
@@ThePokerBank yes. But the Ten does not give you two pair…
@@kineahora8736 Since you want to be super semantic, it does give me 2 pair - it's just counterfeited like you said, and useless, like I said.
@@ThePokerBank Hi; sounds like I came off bad. I didn’t mean any offense at all. Peace man-I am watching your content…
The K is what technically gave you 2-pair. The T makes you chop against all weak aces.
