This is awesome, the work the detail the quality, can’t wait for the next one. Loved the video! .. Do you do other e28’s often? Would you consider taking in my 535 and doing the same? 😂 how do I contact you man.
I’d consider it but the supplies is the cheapest part, it takes a lot of time labor for these types of results; I just make it look easy😂 Missionmadeairsoft@gmail.com
Guessing your materials cost $1500-$2000 for the repaint process. Are you still happy about doing this even with all the time and effort? How well do you think the edges will host to chipping and peeling in the next couple of years? Thinking about doing something similar with my E24 but worried that a single stage paint will turn out nice enough and hold out. I don't ant edges where I tape to start lifting in a few years. Would you do it again on another car you really like? Just trying to gauge it because all painters near me seem to want to bring down to metal and do a full restoration paint job for $15k+ I am primered in a few panels and it seems doable after watching your videos. Hoping to stick with the original color, the orangish Henna Red...
Yes I could tell the difference between the two paint shades and I think going for the darker one was a good call. My e28 is an early 1984 in Henna Red. Great achievement doing this in your garage dude and filming it too! Well done! Can't wait to see it all back together with the trim refitted. 👍😎
It looks amazing man..great job!!

Your right the lighter shade resembled more of a henna red. Thank you bud! Trim video is next week but I can tell you now it’s looking amazing!
Amazing work! The wet sanding made the surface look like glass and it was worth the undoubtedly long hours getting it there.
Bad ass, today everyone pays to get everything done, glad to see there are some true car guys out there.
