Some areas of the lake are still 400' deep. I spoke with people that have worked for the S. Nevada Water Authority, most of our drinking water comes from acquifers underground. They also told me that Harry Reid and Harvey Whitmore have been draining Lake Mead on purpose for years. They also admitted that we have the water to fill up Lake Mead if necessary. Politicians want a state of emergency and a water pipeline from Northen Nevada built. Rumors YES. But if you connect the dots it makes sense. Especially when the California and other Nevada reservoirs are near full.
So much misinformation. Do you know Nevada uses less than 2% of the Colorado River? All of Las Vegas water that goes down a drain is recycled back into the lake?? Las Vegas is not the problem. Google Colorado River Compact. Vegas has more right to that water source by location than anyone and we use the least amount, but conserve the most....how is that even possible. Also Vegas' new intake straw goes to deepest part of lake. The part where water will stop flowing past the dam before this spot dries up. Meaning? California will run out of water before we do. We're up stream. Vegas is fine. Not even close to the reason why the lake is low. It's literally everyone, but Vegas. Look at Arizona and Cali before anyone else. Biggest water wasters this country has. ESPECIALLY Cali.
Lake Mead drying up is a lie man. Totally BS pulled by LVWA and NRA. They want nerds with binoculars watching birds and shit, not people having fun. They got their second straw, watch the level slowly come up now. Not enough to reopen echo, because that would mean people having real fun, but up to a sustainable level.
Hopefully I’ll have my 18ft 79 jet boat on the lake next year. Is it sketchy taking a jet boat on the lake... and keep hearing he careful with waves if you have a semi v Hull. I don’t have any boat experience with boats. Thanks
