Hey sir, I know this was done like 14 years ago, but I got some questions. First off, where is this? I wanted to compare this to the USDA soil survey map to see how accurate that really is. Also, is this soil some type of stoney loam soil? Or stoney clay loam? And when you say you found bad soil, how far down was that? I'm learning soil mechanics right now so I can build a random rubble stone house. But I wanna make sure I got good soil drainage and stability, preferably good loam or even something close to bedrock.
drrrr drrrrr drrrrr well if i dig the hole deeper do i have to put more concrete in there? drrrr drrrr yeah that kinda means that or you are gonna be framing your walls underground.. wider would probably be better than deeper but he was saying if its harder soil you go down to it at the same width 12 across.. if not .. then you go wider with the footing 16 across and that stabilizes the footing
I'm always amazed how good operators can be so precise with those huge machines.
