I will soon replace all my interior bulbs for LED bulbs and that first light in the video was the only one that I didn't know how to change, now I know what to do, thanks!
This tutorials is awsome and very helpful!!! Its so hard to change some piece of plastic in Golf without damage. Somethings going from left side something from right side down or up i dont know without this tutoral...

That silver insert for the opening where bulb housing sits.. Where would I find those? My headliner around where the light fixture is, is torn up and it makes it a pain to get the fixture out.
Is the "0" end of the rear dome lights of VW Golf & Bora with right hand side steering wheel on the front end or it is on the rear end of the dome light? I am asking because my Bora MK4 has rear dome lights with "0" (off) marked on the front end of the light housing.
I can't find out how to remove the dome light assembly itself, one of the switches is broken so I need to take it out. Could you point me to a video or link?

When I open my drivers door the interior lights do not come on but do when the passenger door opens? any reason why this could be?

Have the same problem. I did the above and my metal retaining clips completely snapped off... Now I have no interior some light at all

i have a vw golf 4 kombi/break...and my trunk dome light does not come on when i open the door...any ideea why? the bulb is ok but it dont comes on

Got the light out but I have a chip as in computer chip? Bulb must be behind it?? How do I get to the bulb??
