    Shay and Miles are lost. All this divine self malarkey is so nonsensical.
    Marrying with a pastor is a submission in front of God in a Christian respect. If you aren't Christian, you might as well cut all of that out and stand in the river and commit.

    I am 24 years old (which means I’m gen z) and I think some of Tanya and shaq’s viewpoints when it comes to relationships is insane to me. I agree with Paul in how he said he believes that shaq hasn’t reached his masculinity (fully) as it shows in some of his answers. A courting stage is very important & I don’t agree with people sleeping with one another in that dating phase.. at least be in a commitment because I believe it could cloud judgement and make them think they like one another more than they actually do.. if someone can’t offer you a commitment AT LEAST do not sleep with them (in my opinion)

The pastor’s wife is good too, but I disagree with the “being poor is a choice” comment - found it insensitive. People born into poverty aren’t in control. Luck plays a big role in getting out; hard work helps, but it’s often about luck. Staying grateful and humble is crucial; if not, God, and life might/will definitely humble you. Good show overall. Miles and Shay, yas. As a black person that broke free from the shackles of Abrahamic religions. Spirituality, is about finding and applying principles that religion complacently claims to hold the monopoly over, love, marriage, meaning of life etc. Religion, yawn, it smacks of hypocrisy and self righteousness. As for spirituality, I am all ears. Tanya and Shaq, with guidance can last, they are sweet, people are too judgemental. Manka and Manny, she gives me the vibes that she will push Manny to commit a crime to get her a ring she wants. I adore the sacrifice she has made for Manny, but while he is down, please give him the chance to blossom he can for you.

Only one of them gets that job. How will you justify this? There is so much cognitive dissonance when it come to religion or relationship with God. I am not interested full stop. If the other person did not get the job and they prayed for it, then the job wasn't for them. It's simple. If we got everything we wanted whenever we asked for it, then how could we worship God. He isn't a genie where you can come to Him when you want something, makw a wish 3 times and you automatically get what you requested. I've heard many responses like yours all the time as well..have you actually ever said aloud "Jesus if you are real, please show me". If you did, then He will definitely let His presence be known.

    41:52 Paul, you know why you like them? I’d tell you. It’s because that marriage’s foundation is on Christ. Not “spiritual “, not “in and out of jail “ , not “love island cameras” . There’s a clear cut difference between being “in”the world and not being “of” it. The rest of the other couples definitely lack Jesus as a foundation. The pastor and the Christians in this are assuming the worst of people and very condemning mindset. They say a believer who sleeps with a woman who does not ask for forgiveness and dies in that hotel goes to hell, which is an obserdity. The pastor and his wife emphasise on doing to get good and doing bad to get bad. That's not the gospel.

      Tanya was in her feelings when Shaq spoke to Zara on the show and mind you all they had was an innocent chat. Tanya however was different in Casa. It's one thing to explore your connection but to have slept with the person and share I love yous is not nice. She would not like it if the roles were reversed. If that's the case then don't say I love you. That was the problem the public had.

    • @lydiak2219

      @@MissCriticizerYeah without the "i love yous" people wouldn't have been as mad as they were but both of them hinted multiple times that producers pushed her but that they can't talk about it, so the whole situation is fine with that in mind. Her saying sleeping with someone else to test it out would have been fine was just completely insane though

    • @MissCriticizer
      @MissCriticizer 10 місяців тому

      @lydiak2219 the producers can not make you do anything you don't want to do. There is only so much they can work with, and she has given them enough to work with. She should also know that it's a TV show, where you need to be loved by the public which affects your endeavours post show. The way people behaved on the outside isn't how they behave on that show. Also everybody is different and I understand most girls don't want to put all their eggs in one basket, but if you are "sampling" each man that you are dating, you will look back and realise that you've slept with 100 guys and nothing beneficial came out of it, you will still hop on to the next one. How does that benefit the woman. If your doing that to have fun then that's fine

    • @lydiak2219
      @lydiak2219 10 місяців тому

      @@MissCriticizerThey can't make you SAY anthing that you don't want to which is true but they do push you to do things S8 Jay said how they didn't let him talk to people he wanted to aswell as other things even in S10 Zach was pushed in a game to kiss someone even if he just wanted to do the cheek and many more storys have been told on Podcasts it's a reality tv show you only she 1 of 24h and even that is chopped up to fit their narrative.
      but think whatever you want it doesn't change anything anyway.
      Also she never said she sleeps with everyone she dates lol otherwise i agree that kind of approach is mad.

  • @bwlondonpodcast
    @bwlondonpodcast 11 місяців тому +8

    I'm actually loving this show, but am I miserable? I don't really like any of the couples, but they entertain me 🤣👌
    The grass-eaters (you know, the book-wielding, open-toed-sandal types) give me a hard time, like seriously, enough already. Since this show is kind of like a biblical saga, which I'm into, here's a fitting scripture for them: "And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know." 1 Cor 8:2
    Now, Mrs. Fanatic and Nigeria are a whole different story. Nigeria had to tell her to calm down with the persistent and somewhat aggressive "do you have the Holy Spirit, Paul?" Paul and Nigeria's mutual dislike for each other just cracks me up 🤣🤣 They see each other so clearly, probably because they both have a bit of those narcissistic traits, I think.
    So, the 304 and the BATA (By All That's Amazing) couple might actually last the longest. They get this whole "don't assume my gender" era they're living in, and they annoy me the least.
    I know Paul loves the preachers, but these new-age super churches can be a problem, and defending those televangelist pastors? Yeah, that's a problem for me. I'm a firm believer in the Word of God, and I just can't wrap my head around women preachers either. I don't see any justification for it in the Word of God. We're here to teach the kiddos and learn from our guys.
    Now, the gangsta-loving couple is okay. She's a bit contradictory and superficial, but we all know that lovable gangsta, right? They're not annoying to watch, in fact.
    I'm sending up some prayers for Paul to have that moment with Christ when you just "know, beyond your own understanding," and nothing in life is ever the same again. 🥰🙏🏾

      You lost me at the second half of paragraph 5 for me. By saying you "can't wrap your head around women preaching in the church", you are falling back into the trap of patriarchy that keeps women suppressed from using their voices and contributing to the kingdom of God in a way that they are individually called to do. Contrary to your belief, talent, a calling and the holy spirit don't discriminate, sha. Who are you to do so? That is so dated. Please stop overthinking and embrace the message from a male/female messenger, as long as it is biblically sound and heals you, holds you accountable and helps you grow.
      PS. Polygamy was also in the bible but we don't preach that as a fundamental lifestyle for a born again Christian, because we know where the God of Abraham, Jacob and Isaac stands with that.
      Therefore, just because there were no female prophets and preachers in the bible, doesn't mean that a woman must fundamentally not preach the word of God. That is Law. And that law is within the context and political environment of that time (Being a born again Christian is driven by Grace). That in NO WAY means that God doesn't allow women to preach the word of God and push the needle to the progress of his kingdom. We don't serve a misogynistic God.
      Everyone has their personal relationship with God, and if God calls you as a woman, to preach (because you are very much capable), nobody gets to theological-watchdog you into doubting that. Periodt.

      @@trudytriad4574 My belief regarding women's roles in church leadership is rooted in the Word of God, specifically the verses 1 Timothy 2:12-13 - "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be insilence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve."
      Additionally, here are a couple more scriptures that are often referenced in discussions on this topic:
      1. Ephesians 5:22-24 - "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands."
      2. 1 Corinthians 11:3 - "But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God."
      1 Corinthians 14:34-35 - "The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church."
      And to address your point about a personal relationship with God in conjunction with His Word:
      Believing in a personal relationship with God is indeed a cornerstone of many Christians' faith. However, it's essential to emphasise that this relationship should align with and be informed by God's Word, as it serves as our guide and foundation for understanding His will. Disregarding God's Word can lead to misunderstandings and potential deviations from His intended path.
      Ultimately, our aim is to seek a relationship with God that is in harmony with His Word, rather than a rebellion or departure from it. This approach helps us navigate the complexities of faith and ensures that we follow God's design for our lives, which, includes the order of creation (child, women, man, then God), not merely a product of patriarchy.
      Thank you for engaging.

      @@trudytriad4574 I forgot to add where you bring up an important point about the practice of polygamy. Indeed, the New Testament emphasies monogamy as the ideal marital arrangement for Christians. A key scripture supporting this view is found in:
      1 Timothy 3:2 - "Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife..."
      This verse, among others, underscores the principle of monogamy within Christian leadership roles. It's another example of how the New Testament provides guidance on various aspects of Christian life and practice.

    UK boys don't usually like guys that come fresh from Nigeria and they come into the church. I remember back in the days, the british nigerian boys call them FOBs, if you know you know. They come straight from nigeria, are very charismatic and likable in church. They often end up securing the trust of beautiful girls and their families in church with their charisma and get married to british girls. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work. But UK nigerian boys don't like them. The good ones are good husband material, am not sure about Solomon though😂
