I have an LLC.. I mostly do business and contracts Will's etc.. but at times I help people with family, real estate, and tutor students.. also now starting a tax company after having gotten through tax school in 2019
If you plan to work for attorneys when you go freelance, I'm not sure how that would be considered an unauthorized practice of law. There are remote and freelance paralegals all over the state of Texas. You do you! I would not recommend going freelance within the first five years of being a Paralegal, but freelance isn't the same as remote or virtual (one being a 1099 and the other a W2 employee). Hi I'm a paralegal from south Africa completed my higher certificate in paralegal practice did my PPC, I've never worked but i have a mentor she's a senior paralegal was thinking of freelance don't know if it's a good idea did my practical for a year
I am an older learner who will have my MS in Legal Studies through Washington University School of Law in St Louis by this May along with a litigation certificate from them to go with my MS degree. ., My 4 year degree is in Criminal Justice with a certificate in Legal Studies as well The reason I want to do this is because of my disabilities that i have and until 2 years ago was employed by the US Dept of Treasury Internal Revenue Service in KC MO. I had back surgery and had to give it up. Sad!
