- This motor is designed to go fast! With a 3S battery pack, it is difficult to keep the front tires on the ground. As you can see in the video, the included sensorless motor didn't cog at low speeds, though the motor's low speed wasn't incredibly slow. Once at full throttle, there was almost a second burst of energy at top speed. As soon as you think you've reached top speed, it goes even faster.

sounds like the gear meshing is ever so slightly too tight neverthe less its a great build!
Lol! Thats pretty sweet! I just bought this motor for my latrax prerunner. I expected it to be a lot faster right from the start, i will need to play with the gears. Hopfully not the plastic stalk ones!
I just got the same combo. I have the 4600kv and those little cars are insane.
Flip rear body mount and rear shocks t owerswill sit inside the body mount s like most cars... Added weight in front (it wouldn't matter if it was five lbs) was very helpful.
Parts are cheap work grewt

Hey bud! Like the video. Do you think it would be suitable in the mini 8ight t? Just burned up the stock one so looking at replacement options. This one seems nice but I'm worried it may be to small for the bigger m8t and overheat. Planning on running 2s mostly

does anyone know what the difference is between the sidewinder and the mamba monster? is the sidewinder meant more for offroad? im trying to decide what to switch into my dromida but the motor here seems about as fast as the stock brushless in the dromida
Idk if your still wondering but the 5300 kv motor is exactly the same as the dromida one except it can do 3s:)

where'd you get a 3s Lipo that small?
trail trucks uses small lipos all the time. Just serch it up and you will finde it.
I know this is an old video, but I was wondering about the 3s. My Mamba Micro esc says it'll take 3s, but the 8200kv Castle motor it came with says only 2s... think I can get away with 3s anyway?

How does opinion size effect the cars performance?
I'm just starting out really and I want a better understanding of how it all works
@@michaelbarrella3043 small pinion= high acceleration low top speed, low temperature. Big pinion = high top speed, slower acceleration high temps. If you want top speed use a larger pinion. If your RC overheats you a smaller pinion. Small pinions are better for racing buggys and stuff in tight twisty tracks
@@michaelbarrella3043 just picture a bicycle, if your in a low gear going fast your going to pedaling super fast. thats what's happening here and why its so loud
