    add 2 wickets to 72/2 and then u realise we were no where safe ....

    Our score was under par. Our 47 48 and 49 overs while we were batting were very low scoring. If we got 12 runs in each over it we would have won the game.

      How did the batsmen do a good job, when they had 100 dot balls in 300. The batsmen were poor and left too many runs on the board. I respect your opinion, but look at the whole picture. This was a 400 runs pitch batting first against an England 2nd team. Imaging a single off 50 of those dot balls!

    Just a quick note is when Hope opened and get out early the Team struggled. The move to number four can be seen as a way to fix to resolve that issue

    Basil, do you watch the same cricket as I? If you bowl a fast ball, that is in a difficult spot. King goes into the closing of his eyes, jumping and swinging. If you watch Hope, he can hit a 6 anywhere; if you bowl a threatening ball, he is jumping and ducking. If you bowl that same ball to Evin Lewis, Pooran, Hetty or any other top order batsman, it is normally a hook or a square cut to the boundary.

    Im tired of people saying that Hetmeyer should bat higher, that he doesn't get enough overs,he always throw away his wicket quickly ,maybe he should have hoined Athanaze in the 50 over competition to get acclimated to playing the longer version of the game.

      @christopherclarke2219, despite what his fans might think or what they want to see happened, Hetmyer knows that he has to perform at six, otherwise he will be dropped again as was the case last year. 24 runs won't cut it, even if it's off 5 delivers.

    I’m commenting from New Orleans in the USA and originally from Jamaica
    I watched the entire again: the score to me was pretty reasonable after losing two early wickets
    The bowling was downright awful and rotation of the bowlers was not the best
    I’m a Shai Hope fan but I believe his Captaincy isn’t as aggressive as it should be
    Anyway, I wish them the best for the 3rd ODI

    Question for the forum: How did Hetmeyer do in the CPL batting early/ You want someone to bat responsible, then give him responsibility. Hetty can bat long, but Sammy have him as a finisher. I call BS. You have the man playing as a finisher and then complaining that he only averaging about 20 balls batting!

    • @thecricketforum
      @thecricketforum  9 годин тому

      @christopherclarke2219, you tell me and what do you call early? What were Hetmyer's ball/innings average in the CPL? A cricketer who got out in a cricket match while batting cannot justifiably complain that he should be batting higher. I am sure Hetmyer understand fully what he needs to do and what's role are.

      @thecricketforum Hetty will always be the fall guy because whenever he gets to bat, he's under pressure to deliver immediately. Just 1 game after a year, scored 24 and the knives are out. Jayden Seales have not demonstrated that he is ready for Windies white ball. He had a good 1st game in the series;, but that was an aberration. Look at all of his List A bowling. He is not ready for ODI. Send him back to the Super 50 to get some experience. I admit that he is good t Test at this time only.

    • @thecricketforum
      @thecricketforum  9 годин тому

      @christopherclarke2219 no one said Seales "demonstrated that he is ready for Windies white ball". What I am saying is he has a higher ceiling than all the other bowlers we presently have, and he should continue to play until he finds his game. His numbers in List A Cricket can't be the only criterion.
      Furthermore, history is littered with great sports persons, who careers got off to very poor starts. Very interesting that you said nothing about Shamar Joseph. I understand, it's Country CC.
