  • On today’s episode of the Lax Goalie Rat podcast, I’m joined by Duke goalie Patrick Jameison.
Patrick is headed into his sophomore season at Duke after starting for the Blue Devils his freshman year.
Patrick had an amazing freshman year with Duke starting in goal with a .531 save % the second most save of all ACC goalies and 12th overall in men's D1 which is very impressive for a freshman in such a challenging conference.
During his outstanding season, Jameison really stood out during their game against Ivy League powerhouse Princeton saving 14 shots for a .737 save %, and helped his team secure the 17-8 win.
During Patrick's time in high school, he played for Conestoga High School for 3 years before playing for a year at Episcopal High School and played on Brotherly Love from 2019-2022. He was named all-American for his sophomore and junior years, Then during his Senior year, he was named All-IAC. He was also given a 4-star ranking during his time at Conestoga and Brotherly Love.

Fun fact the only reason goalie heads are so big isn’t to make it easier to catch the ball but it’s actually to help carry their massive balls

Hey Coach Damon! Im a goalie that started a year ago, and just wanted to ask if you have any tips on how to get over jitters or fear of the ball. I normally have trouble when shooters get up to around 10 feet from the crease, or if a long pole is shooting. Thanks Coach!
