Great video! I wish they included a better overview in the base game (I believe they’ve since made a PDF that does exactly that) - and mostly I wish they put the name of the clan somewhere on the card / ship token. I know I’m coming to the game very late in its release, but your video helped a ton!
Be sure to view the offical "FAQ and often forgotten rules" document found on BGG/Portal Game's website. This is a very helpful document for card clarifications and errata(s) Example: The Ulaf Clan's "62 White Keep" has been completely tweaked.
Hey there. I could but... I prefer not to as I am connected to Portal Games too much in my opinion. I'm part of their demo team in Belgium and The Netherlands, also help them at Spiel and UKGE, proofread for them and more... So, people might not trust my opinion completely. That being said, I'm a big fan of this game. I love all differences that they made between this and Imperial Settlers (made a video about those differences as well), it plays smoother, it is in a way lighter, so also more accessable. I like it a lot.
@@VitruvianGamer so as a gamer who seeks for more deepness or strategy would you rather recommend normal imperial settlers? Cause from your video and your statements it looks easier which in a way is a negative attribute. Or it is spiced up imperial settlers and I should wait for premiere ?
For me it feels like this is a bit lighter than IS... which I don't mind because it plays much smoother and still has quite some dept with the choices you have to make with those action pawns, your worker pool,... So maybe it is not lighter, but just smoother? I prefer that over IS at this moment in time, because I don't mind playing this with 4 players while IS takes too long with more than 2 in my opinion.
