21:00 It's a good point about petroleum. There are better ways , but in the end you have to choose to live a simpler life

The music during the bus and the car race sounds like something from “A Clockwork Orange”. 😆

This is one of my FAVORITE 3-2-1 CONTACT episodes when Trini (Ginny Ortiz) wants there to be no more supertankers because the oil that is transported in them can devastate the environment and make it look horrible if those tankers wreck or spring a leak causing an oil spill. So, Lisa (Liz Moses) and Marc (Leon W. Grant) convince her that crude oil, while a messy and potentially hazardous substance, actually DOES have its merits and benefits. :)

I like how they show strong points for both sides of the argument without telling you what you should think. "Alright you've made your point. But mine's a strong point too"

Sometimes I look them up after watching these. I looked up the supertanker they visited. It was new in 1979 but scrapped in 2015.

That was a very helpful pet shop employee. Most of the time they just read the label on the tank to me.

I wonder why they didn't just call the three teens Liz, Ginny and Leon? Those are perfectly good names and they wouldn't affect the show in any negative way. BTW, I thought I saw Liz Moses in a commercial. Dish soap or something. Can anyone confirm or deny my memory?

20:50 40+ years later and Just Stop Oil's arguments are operating at a pre-school level from 1980 while they're destroying priceless works of art from antiquity...

That pet store guy didn't have much game. The only thing he got wet was the fish.

Hang in there Ronald Reagan becomes peresident in 1980 and fix the gas shortest problem. That’s why we need the Key Stone Pipeline so we depend less on getting the oil from other countries and no spills in the Oceans and the gas prices are much cheaper for people. This is a good episode.
