Glad that throttle issue wasn’t a big deal. I remember my first ride on a 07 FXSTC I had, throttle got stuck twice. Almost shit myself and was scared to get back on until I changed the grips. Anyway, thanks for posting and merry Christmas!
Had a similar issue. New grips were slightly longer than standard. Had to move the master cylinder housing up against the bump stop and then push the throttle control as tight against it (rotate it a bit toward the seat) as I could get it. All set now. If you are already at the bump, you might need diff length grips.
@@texasharleyrider7424 I’m only guessing. Ive created my own cable, heavier, it lasts longer but still breaks. I’m going to buy a new grip and round out the slot a bit. We’ll see.

Yeah a stuck throttle will ruin anyone’s day! Luckily this was minor and an easy fix. Thanks for the comment. Merry Christmas!

Yeah, that was the issue. Just moved the master cylinder a tad and so far so good.
My bike eats throttle cables right at the grip. Three times I’ve ridden home using idle adjuster. It’s works but look real silly.
Damn man, that sucks. I mean, whatever gets you home lol. Any idea what is causing it?

@@seller559 Ok gotcha. Well hope it works out.
