Let um make fun of your bike bro. They’re leaving someone else alone while they’re messing with you. They’re also probably walking or wishing they owned a bike. Any bike you love is cool no matter what others think. You take care and stay safe.
Anyone who clowns someone for a sportster needs to do a little history lesson on the harley scene and show some respect. You guys have ZERO clue on what you're talking about. Love this bike bro and people who clown others for stuff like this should be met with pity.
I have bad bones so I’m strictly a rear suspension Rider so this Sporty is right in my wheelhouse. Changing the rake/trail and wheelbase by extending the front and moving the fork tubes up/down in the trees is an old racers tuning trick and makes a world of difference in handling characteristics as noted here.
VOES is a bummer to hide but it definitely serves a legitimate purpose. evos need it to advance the timing from idle to high load. it’ll run okay some of the time without it, but if you’re hitting it on the highway or ripping through hills you’ll need it. i tucked mine in behind the top motor mount-super short vacuum line and grounded to the motor mount. hidden pretty good and the super short vacuum line holds it in place without the need for a bracket. always nice seeing a swinger chop.
Love this bike, super rad. Honestly if I was to give any advice on upgrades to this…save your money and take it to a legit proper shop and have the struts welded back to a normal length. Maybe you could fit someone’s old cut off pieces…Wouldn’t be a big deal if all you carried was a bar bag but keeping your girl safer on the back is a good idea. Probably stop the bottoming out which makes it saver for both of you. Otherwise, rad bike. Also personally I wouldn’t hardtail this, it’s sweet like it is swingarm choppers have their place.
Great video, loving the sportsters, they get a lot of stick but they are one of the best Harleys out there and great for chopping too. I'd love to get one one day for a project. Lovely bike John
I love how you bring your heritage to your bike I shall do the same. Very cool. You seem a really lovely bloke. Keep doing what you do. Regards from Newcastle upon Tyne England.
I got 8” over ….. you think I messed up ? Cuz I just saw this vid and the bike looks sick ( I will be running 21” front with 8”over ) should I start having doubts lol ? Tubes Still didn’t reach those
I have had my Sportster for 25 years and 400,000 miles on the original engine. It's a 1999 as well.l commuted on her for 20 years. My bike doesn't go fast enough to get a speed wobble.😂
I'm set up just like you 21" front stock rear size ,ape hangers and sissy bar, stage 2 Dana ignition lowered rear shocks 3" and I threw on led light strips 2 small ones on frame in front 2 medium strips mid way and two more on frame of sissybar it seems to get me noticed specially at night. (Seattle, Was.)
What air filter is that on the carb? I have a 96 sportster and the filter that came with the bike is massive but wanted to see what filter others run and I like how yours is small but also clean/custom looking also
So you add a 6 over to then remove 1-2" to be stable? Just go with 4 overs to begin with. Any long front ends ive ridden on evo sporties did bothing but ruin the way the bikes road and handled... 2+ tubes are my max preferred. Keeps the stock maneuverability and looks cool.
The dude posting - Mr. LNSPLTBLVD , love, love, love your vids, but your voice booms into the mic, and it causes tiny breaks between your words when your are talking??
I do agree having a bigger tank is nice for longer rides. The intent is to keep a slim minimalist look. My commute is usually within 70 miles and getting gas everyday is not too bothersome for me.
don't hard tail it. try solid struts on it first so you how hard tail feal. it's like cutting the struts off looks kool but serves no practical function that i,m aware of.

Really enjoy seeing everyone’s bike and hear about the mods. Very cool.

Johnny is such a chill guy. Love this bike.
John seems like such a chiller and the bike has a lot of great detail

always nice seeing a swinger chop.
Thanks for the info! Super helpful. Because of your comment I'm going to put the voes back on and try how it rides highway
Just subbed today. These guys, their vibe, their work and passion for this hobby and way of life is really inspiring to me. Hope to see more!
That bike is so freakin sweet man, the frisco chop just can’t be beat in my eyes
Frisco style is a classic, cant go wrong with it.
Love it ! That's the spirit to me, cheap, homemade and made to fit your tastes and background ! That's Kustom kulture right there
Eric Clapton wrote Layla about his best friend's (George Harrison of the Beatles) wife.
She don't lie she don't lie she don't lie, cocaine
@@johnp7608 That's JJ Cale's song. Eric Clapton did a cover of it. ua-cam.com/video/KWmD_HcOcfU/v-deo.html
It should be pointed out she married Eric, after splitting with George.
And the two men remained friends for the rest of their lives.

John seems like a super cool guy, love the fact it’s his daily too!👌🏻
Great videos !!! I really dig this bike !!! its cool to see how all the people you hang with love to ride and don't have attitudes

It changes the trail of the front tire when you move forks up or down in the triple trees. it will stabilize the front end a bit, but not much
Seems like a real nice brother
Cool bike young sir
Great video, loving the sportsters, they get a lot of stick but they are one of the best Harleys out there and great for chopping too. I'd love to get one one day for a project. Lovely bike John
Love the build simple and functional.
Nice! I am converting my 2012 sportster 72 to a swing arm chopper 😊
I love how you bring your heritage to your bike
I shall do the same.
Very cool.
You seem a really lovely bloke.
Keep doing what you do.
Regards from Newcastle upon Tyne England.
Inspirational, thankyou. John, just wondered about the angle of front brake resovoir, obviously works. All the best from UK.
Yeah it works fine. Overtime, the rubber seal will wear out and leak. Replaced mine 2 years ago and haven't had any leaks since.
Fuck yeah bro!!, love how everything on this bike has a purpose & how simplicity can be rad
I did same thing to my 2000 sporster did six over and resesed forks and it smooth right out 👍
I got 8” over ….. you think I messed up ? Cuz I just saw this vid and the bike looks sick ( I will be running 21” front with 8”over ) should I start having doubts lol ? Tubes Still didn’t reach those
love it. nothing better than seeing someone make it their own im a sportry guy myself. those are BRASS BALLS my dude, lol js
Johns bike is so sick ! Reminds me of the 2 pecenter dudes bikes in Japan ! Awesome episode !!
He made it his own.I respect that.
Love this bike man! Tell John to keep it a swingarm. Norcal style sporty chops are the best:3 Coming from a swingarm chop rider as well haha!

Also added 21 inch front wheel with long fender looks good
Forward controls with heal toe shifter is my fav. Mod

Which rear rim is that? I'm looking for a skinny one
Rad bike Brodie, keep riding
It’s Layla but with a nutsack lmao
Im just messing around this bike is sick af
Looks like choppers build in Sweden in -70.❤
How is the trail, when it woobles, rigth trail, it should be steady?
How wide is the rear? He said it was 19 which I'm interested in because I'm building a scrambler.
The tires I'm running are Baja 100 tire 4.00-19 71T
With that being said he’s comes across as a very nice mat
Bro I would drop the bike in a hearbeat with those bars lol but it looks dope
Nice ride Brother ....
Loose neck, or forks, + bars/ risers. Will cause wobble.
Appears hes running old stf bars! What is the extra clamp about ?
I’m here to ask a question…what makes a swing arm chopper ? Mine looks like it but I won’t call
It a chopper
Lovely sweet bike..❤❤❤❤

Swingarms are so sick
Most look like absolute dog shit, but this one is cool.
What rear fender is that?
I had to like but it turned the likes to 667 instead of 666 LOL

Ain’t got to be a rigid to be a chopper…
Love these videos, but with all do respect you need a bigger tank
I do agree having a bigger tank is nice for longer rides. The intent is to keep a slim minimalist look. My commute is usually within 70 miles and getting gas everyday is not too bothersome for me.

you need a tweek bar on your front tubes
Sweet bike especially i love the fender with light 😅 kid got some nice taste 😮😮
👍🏍️👍
he said 2 inches lol
Una bonita "Sportster" una moto como me gustan a mi limpia y desnuda, sin accesorios innecesarios. Saludos from Spain🍻
why do some legit harley riders support sportsters and some clown them especially if your just using it as a daily rider i'm confused
Show some fxrs!
Those are getting kind of pricey to turn into choppers. Parts aren't cheap like on a Sportster 883 or 1200.
that's true@@feloniousmonk3049
Does he has inst? I want subscribe

john 会中文?

I like Sportsters , but this one looks a little bit unbalanced .
To high off the ground.
2 inches man oh man😂😂😂😂😂
Long forks and gay ass bunny ear handlebars don’t make something a chopper!!
what rear fender is that?
