he played it terribly, not shoving pre once that high a pot showed it was not aa or kk. imo, but i think dwan should have shoved not made the final call. so easy when not my money :) but dont sit down with a roll you wont race with pre flop

From the onset, Wes knew Tom was Royal...Tom knew Wes was Royal from the 5 bets. Wes knew Tom was Not As or Ks, maybe Qs or Js. Tom knew he was at best 3rd Nuts. Flop came both missed... Tom knew Wes was Not As or Ks bcuz if Wes was As or Ks, Shove after Flop instead of qtr pot bet. After River Tom knew Exacty what Wes had, 2 over cards that missed. Tom was calling, it was just How he will Call.
Wes lost the Pot by Not Shoving after Flop. Tom would had Folded.
You do not shove that flop with aces exactly because you do NOT want your opponent to fold.

Polk saying "I saw your hand," and then staying at the table, shows what a poser and punk he is. This hand also demonstrates Wesley's immaturity as a player. It's obvious from PF that Dwan has QQ (or JJ) and Wesley decides to risk his stack bluffing him. Incredibly poor judgment.

No, Wes askimd what Dwan had in chips is not what got the table quiet, Polk telling everyone they are in the middle of a big pot is what got them to stop talking. Which is pretty much telling Airtool to shut up. I would never show Polk my hand, he is a liability. Gjis initial reaction preflop and his demeanor post is so bad. Dwan was deductig based off of a variery of things, which included Wesleys body language, along with Polks talking and body language. Both idiots, and way amateur

When Doug told Wesley not to raise pre-flop, Tom can reasonably discount AA, KK, and AK in Wesley's range. So, Tom was only fearful of a few hands such as suited A8. In the end, Wesley's value range was just too narrow. Thus, the call with QQ. The bluff might have worked if Doug didn't say anything pre-flop.
There are plenty of hands he could have had- 78, 79, 89, 55, 66, 33… All the ‘bullshit’ hands dwan was mentioning. Idk why you would say only A8s. Dwan just had a read thats it
