The problem with froppy before the nerfs was that she spent so much time in the air and sniping you from above, so you hardly saw her coming not a mention her small hitbox and character model iida is mostly on the ground and going into the air is sacrificing his alpha attacks so you mostly see him running at you, uraraka can't jump high into the air and her wire is short ranged so she can't cause problems like froppy with the alpha Aizawa who has a similar kit to froppy doesn't snipe you from mid air rather he goes to you on the ground to attack so he doesn't spend so much time in the air
I’m a Tsu main what I’ve figured out is that if you hit them with alpha in the air then come down with beta too soon, that’ll cause them to not be combo’d by beta again so after alpha you’d have to wait a bit to come down and hit them with beta beta
About missing froppy air betas: Yes the nerf made it harder to use...but the main problem is it's inconsistency. There was a reddit post recently, where they missed an air beta even though the cursor was at the dead center of the opponent. If you try it out, basically if you turn too much to use her beta it will not reach the point you aimed at, but it will fire before that. And thank you for the other commenters I didn't understand why my air beta gave invulnerability before I had the chance to fire off my ground beta. If you play her as support and as to create chaos and panic you can be an important part of the team....but you can't really deal big damage or take on 1v2 enemies (unless that's just a skill issue I have)
Yeah she’s definitely more hit and run now. Start fight, get your damage, leave and have teammates enter to distract, come back and harass more, and then repeat
These Froppy nerfs have been hitting me hard, she used to be the only character I played but now I often find myself playing other characters such as Compress just to stand a chance, here's to hoping she gets a buff next patch.

Any good beam character can just delete her in the air on PC (I dunno about console), and because of increased enemy recovery time (why you were missing your second attack a lot of the time), she's a lot more dangerous to get into close combat with now, since you're cracked and at 50% hp in an instant.
i definitely agree she needs some love but at the same time i dont want her back to the strength she had previously so they need to find a better balance for her

I think it's less that Froppy is weak and more that Iida and Uraraka need to be nerfed. Iida needs an all-around damage nerf (and maybe lose the armor on the beta) and Uraraka needs some rework to her beta to make it weaker and her gamma to make it a little more reliable (since I think that just nerfing the beta with no buffs to compensate would kind of gut her)
Yeah that was the point I kept bringing up, compared to Iida and Uraraka rn their isn’t much of a reason to play froppy when you have them. Even as far as instant revive is concerned Iida has one it’s just he has to actually go up and touch his teammate to do it
Can't be a rapid and still be a sniper that easily gets high ground at any time and anywhere that's the reason for the range nerfs, now she has to get in close and and her mains aren't happy, like how are froppy mains comfortable with a character that just goes above your head easily and would remain there as long as you spam r2 not even bakugo could do that and you all want to pretend it takes too much skill to play her when it's literally a character that can put her self in the best position whenever she wills it simultaneously putting you in a terrible position, the infestation of froppies before nerfs proved it didn't require much skill as her mains claim to play her. i don’t get this nerf. maybe before hand ig when she was super strong but this is ridiculous. she is hard to play so her limited amount of ammo with abilities makes her feel bad. i went back to maining aizawa after this patch.

Yeah I usually get 1 bot team in my Duo lobbies unfortunately and if it’s late at night and not a weekend it’s primarily bots. Sucks cause I enjoy duos a lot too
Yeah, she just has a hit and run play style but because of that I think all the froppy mains for the most part switched to Iida and Uraraka since they still do decent damage
I personally think that Froppy is perfectly fine after the Nerf, for being a Hit and Run Character she does still around 200 damage with a pretty simple Combo being Alpha Beta Beta or at least 140 with Beta Beta, which is defenitly good and Tsuyu ist still the hardest Character to Chase in the Game. The only issue really is that Iidas didnt get a Nerf yet, since He defenitly deserved one as well, atleast a Bit of damage reduction and maybe the Same they did with Tsuyus Alpha, give it a Charge less for the Early Game (I wouldnt say Ochaco needs any nerfs tho. Personally think that Tsuyu is still better than her) Oh, and btw, can we Talk about how sad Aizawas Alpha is. My man Hit so many of them Just to geht His damage taken away (which isnt supposed to be a Front, since it is the best possible Play to make there, when you have Higher damage Output with one Strike but man, it makes me so sad that you could basically Not Play Like this in ranked because you need your damage with all your Combos).
I suspect something might be done to Iida in the next patch but we’ll see. And yeah getting high damage with Aizawa is hard especially if you have teammates whose attacks cause knockdown because then they interrupt all your combos.

@@kasiindeed froppy can’t stun you with a 120 damage stun and then get potentially 200 more damage ontop of it for hitting a single ability to start it off. Even then. Other rapids can get there as fast as froppy if not faster in some situations. Like yeah. A few nerfs was warranted. But the beta nerf this patch was not. Froppy beta could be dodged relatively fine before as long as you were aware of her.
