@@MLB224 okay, so, here's my idea: Basically, y/n is a demon slayer and also Rengoku's significant other. However, they wake up from a coma, and they have no memories, like they don't even know their own name anymore. Rengoku is obviously one of the first people to see them when they wake up, and he didn't let Shinobu warn him about the fact that they lost their memories. He sees y/n and is so excited, i imagine he would be like; "I can't believe you're finally awake! We were all so worried about you, I was so worried about you!" And then y/n is just sorta like, "I'm sorry, do I know you?" I want to SHATTER this man's heart like he did to ours at the end of the mugen train arc, and then I want to stitch it right the fuck back up. Anyway, Shinobu doesn't know what caused y/n to be in a coma. She just knows it was some head injury and that y/n is lucky to be alive. Y/n goes through life, trying to regain theur memories, and falling in love with Rengoku all over again. At the end of it all, once Rengoku and Y/n are back together, they see fireworks, and all of Y/n's memories come flooding back to them. The night they hit their head had been exactly one year prior, and they had seen fireworks with Rengoku on that night. They remembered what happened and how they got hurt, causing them to their memories. You can feel free to make any changes you want if you choose to use this, but the basic premise is that Y/n wakes up with no memories, falls in love with Rengoku a second time, regains memories and solves the mystery of how they got hurt.
