I made this mistake when I got back into boarding a couple of years ago and now I have an extra set of bindings in the house I can't comfortably use. I guess you just live and ya learn. I glad you put out this video. Hopefully it save others from doing the same thing I did.
I have a size 14 and i can't center my boot on the Nitro team bindings i wanted. I had to go with Union Force which are great. but it's crazy how limited on gear and boards i am.
Yeah, the mini discs from ANY of the companies make it harder for boots bigger than 13 because you can't drop the heelloop back AND move the disc back to center them.
great video! A question that may help more people that are in the overlap: Let's say I'm testing the boots with S and M sizes for mens us 7,5 with a very adjustable binding like Rome Katana and 1) On footbed length both are good, but the medium is more comfortable, the small one makes my feet tired faster 2) laterally both also fits, BUT size medium has a small gap while the small one fits snug without compress the boot. Which one would you choose? can a small lateral gap let's say 5mm made the binding loose? I think it's a interesting subject because everyone talks about the boot overhang but never about this lateral gap.
Go with the binding that you use less energy with. if the smaller one feels too tiring I would go with the medium binding rather than a small. You will also be able to let a friend borrow your bindings when they are in need.
Matt, I recently bought the large 2024 Falcor bindings with a 25.5 wide board. I am a size 11. When I place the bindings on the board, the base plate is pretty big and I have about 1 mm to spare on the board. The problem is that the base plate curves outward and upward so that the binding overhangs the side of the board by about a 1-2 mm. I know I am going to get some boot overhang but I wasn’t expecting that the bindings would also slightly hang over. Is this a problem?
@@PeterGlennSports I bought the Atlas Pros this year and I felt like the footbeds were actually pretty aggressive and hard on the bottom of my foot. How would the Force and Falcor comapre to the Atlas Pro? Think I need to switch out to one of them.

Yeah it definitely can be a confusing spec. Off to FB marketplace to find em a new home eh?

Not an ideal setup. Sounds like you want a wider board for your size feet! The binding/boot combination sounds right.
It can be if you are getting low in your carves, you may want a wider board depending on your style of riding.
Hey Matt, are those the new Falcors for the 2024-2025 season
😉

@@pauld984 You would get a little smoother feel edge to edge from either of those compared to the stiffer/quicker feel of the Pro's
