But this song, it belongs to the 4 loyal soldiers of Captain Ri, the ladies of the village, the orphan boy and her little sister, the good memories Yoon Seri had in North Korea, the good relations she had with the people there,the happiness she got after being far away from her luxurious yet lonely life. This song will always remind me of the good people living in North Korea... I hope they stay well and healthy❤️

I won't go as far as to ponder about what a real North Korean would do. We all are human beings, capable of immense sacrifice and immense evil. I am just gonna enjoy the story and sacrifice of this crew. They can't exist anywhere in the world.
@@3ama4life trust me, I know pretty much what North Korean life is like, as my mother is from NKorea. She could not get into the CLOY drama as it was too fake to watch, with a SKorean stuck in NK fighting with the NKorean soldiers, even talking back at them. In real life, there's NO way in hell you'd ever even dream to speak like to the NKorean soldiers when you're stuck there. And also there's no way in hell they'd risk their lives to save you by trying to send you back to SK. She had a lot to say about the drama. However, you could see some glimpse of the life in NKorea from the drama, the village people's life, the outdoor market, and that the most crucial goal in your life is to be promoted to the highest rank, etc.. other than that, the drama was criticized in SKorea for beautifying the NKorea, while at the same time it totally ticked off Kim Jung Un for portraying the NKorea in such a negative light. The bottom line is that nobody would sacrifice their lives for a SKorean in NK. They just shot down a SKorean man for trespassing their NKorean waters few months ago.

There is a difference between the government and the people. I would like to think so, as I come from an unstable country myself. I liked that it humanizes the people, and it dealt with the characters as just that, human beings. It is a beautiful hope presented. In my opinion and it is something that can be universally understood.

People wouldn't be defecting if they all thought the same and agreed with their govt policies. NK is horrible because the government and leader is bad. It's ok to have 1 fictional drama that makes that distinction.
Besides the scenes of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, these were my favorites as they showed the camaraderie between Se-Ri and Captain Ri´s squad, and her relationship with the ladies from the village. Very sweet, beautiful message and lots of laughs. Just perfect.
I can't forget the touching drama, for the rest of my life I never cried watching this drama, after I saw this drama without realizing tears came out, this drama is very touching 😭

I watched this drama almost year ago and even then I knew it was the best series I've ever watched. Its characters and story are just so amazing. They described well the north-korean culture and the fact that people were grateful for the smallest things. The whole series seemed so real. I watched the series again only in a couple of days, and watching it felt like I was at home. I felt safe and comfortable and it was like a kind of comfort for my anxiety. It's my favorite series again, after a year. When I watch the series, I feel like I'm se-ri myself, lost in North Korea. I think the boys and ladies of the village were so friendly and I felt like I made new friends while watching. Every time I finish the last episode I'm left with a kind of longing. This song is one of the best songs in the series in my opinion and every time I listen to it I think of captain ri, and the other lovely boys and the ladies a village far away in north korea. Even though they are not real they will always have a place in my heart.❤️🩹
Something about this lovely song is bringing me tears and precious memories of the olden days how we used to live back in the journey of Laos, to the US 80s-90s 😢. Old memories of when we were very young playing outside together. Oh the sweet old memories how I wish to go back in time 😢.

Recently I came some beautiful K dramas Every drama is special in its own way but this CLOY hit me differently! Can't express how much I was connected with these characters, never thought that I'd one day willing to visit North Korea. Such a beautiful love story and friendship. I wish one day I meet this couple in Seoul 💞
They added humor and romance to it, but the message is damn clear, NK is literally just a few hours from Seoul and you can paraglide and get lost and find yourself in NK. The "separation" lingered throughout the story and that's what made this drama so beautiful, it broke barriers in love, friendship, family.
Never watched a story like it and probably never watch one that matches it. The vibe just lingers heavily in your heart. I was super invested in the story
I really adore Se-ri, although no one lover her before thinking that she's unworthy to the point that she decided to kill her own life makes me realize that although she was strong in front of the others and not thinking of what others throw at her, she still longing for love. I was happy when she find this squad and his true love. She deserves to be happy and loved. Proud of her. 🤗

When listening to this song, I always think of how people in North Korea live even if the movie is dreamlike. The way they perform is like what I have read books about North Korea. Really like the North Korean village in this drama.
I cried a lot. It’s Covid. I am Australian living in London. Homesick comes in waves. Watching the football game sequence reminded me of the time I was home watching the World Cup at 11pm. Australia versus Japan with my brother’s family. We were screaming and running around when they scored.
Just rewatched some of my favorite scenes in CLOY and my faves are not just the romantic scenes but of Seri and the boys too. Seri had 2 half brothers who did not love her but found a family away from home. She also found sisters in NK. CLOY reminds us that we are all brothers and sisters especially them in NK and SK. It also shows the beauty of a community is not necessarily because of economic progress but it is when people look after the well being of one another. Life before the boom of the internet was simpler, no need to show the world what you have, just living everyday with the people you love and actually talking face to face.
I think and I hope that a new world is possibile! Wiht more love, peace and solidarity among all the people! It's enough this war foward to the domination and exploration over the brother People!
I agree with all of the comments below. The 4 soldiers are so special to this story. I loved their roles and the music is so heartwarming. I loved loved this drama and wish there was a sequel and more of the 4 soldiers.
I tried not to cry but I really can't do it, when I hear the soft and nostalgic melody and see the character especially captain Ri's friends and the neighbors in NK I feel very miss them and I can't hold my tears. It is the best Kdrama I've ever seen.
This perfectly captures the feeling of nostalgia you feel of a time gone by , of memories with people you grew to be fond of but had to say goodbye to. Saudade.
I don't understand korean language, I can understand it by looking at english subtitle. I have seen about 22 kdrama in last 5 years. Like MyId is gangnam beauty, whats wrong with secretary kim, Itaweon Class, Descendants of the Sun, World of the married etc | Crash Landing on you best series of my life | Friends tell me are you crazy? But they will never understand the matter.
Through it all she got herself a lifetime of loyal, humble, genuine friends. She touch each of there hearts as they touch hers, friendship goals went really high on this one❤️🫰🏽🥹

음 북한의 수도 평양까지 차로 달리면 1시간 조금 넘을정도 국경을 넘으려면 한 발자국 그걸 넘지 못한채 한가족같은 사람들이 70년 이상 생이별 그 고통과 슬픔은 말로 표현하기 힘들죠 로맨스지만 남북한의 얘기를 다뤘다면 결국 그 결말은 언제나 통곡의 비극이죠

I really adore Se-ri, although no one lover her before thinking that she's unworthy to the point that she decided to kill her own life makes me realize that although she was strong in front of the others and not thinking of what others throw at her, she still longing for love. I was happy when she find this squad and his true love. She deserves to be happy and loved. Proud of her. 🤗

Just rewatched some of my favorite scenes in CLOY and my faves are not just the romantic scenes but of Seri and the boys too.
Seri had 2 half brothers who did not love her but found a family away from home. She also found sisters in NK.
CLOY reminds us that we are all brothers and sisters especially them in NK and SK. It also shows the beauty of a community is not necessarily because of economic progress but it is when people look after the well being of one another.
Life before the boom of the internet was simpler, no need to show the world what you have, just living everyday with the people you love and actually talking face to face.

I tried not to cry but I really can't do it, when I hear the soft and nostalgic melody and see the character especially captain Ri's friends and the neighbors in NK I feel very miss them and I can't hold my tears. It is the best Kdrama I've ever seen.
This perfectly captures the feeling of nostalgia you feel of a time gone by , of memories with people you grew to be fond of but had to say goodbye to. Saudade.

But they will never understand the matter.
