There are 5 thrill roller coaster you can ride:
- TMNT Shellraiser (World's steepest coaster at 121.5 degree drop angle)
- The Shredder
- Nickelodeon Slime Streak
- Sandy's Blasting Bronco (Intamin multi-launch coaster)
- Timmy's Half-Pipe Havoc
There's also a Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.
If you guys have been to both Nickelodeon Universe amusement park, which one do you prefer the most? Mall of America? or Nickelodeon at American Dream?
There's also an Angry Birds Mini Golf attraction inside the mall as well.

It honestly feels like it’s made for parents more than kids, all these cartoons are from my childhood.
Well it has appeal for adult and young adult audiences since it has Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron, etc. Kids will still get a kick out of the park though with the more current NickToons like the Nick Jr. stuff, TMNT, etc.
They have some rides for kids
Aside from The Loud House, I don't think Nickelodeon really has anything under ten years old worth marketing like this
The mall had a lot of financial problems and delays during its construction. Governor Chris Christie even called it "The ugliest building in New Jersey" (which is saying a lot!)
They should have opened a nickolodeon theme park in the late 90s or early 2000s
Man I can't believe it took so long for this place to open. This mall has been an eyesore when I lived in NJ. A double-decker merry go round, you don't really see those anymore. Also I LOVE Appa

I been there before they said it took long because this is the largest mall in NJ so that why it took long anf number two they also have a water park side too

It needs an outdoor themed floor. Paved or stone paths through heavy landscaping. Maybe boardwalk sections and dramatic lighting for night time. Really the floors are what kills the vibe and screams mall instead of theme park.
If they did it would be the perfect time to have a Rocko's Modern Life and Wild Thornberrys theme.
One about exploring the wilderness with Tim Curry and the other about animal people surviving the current century.
lol. I just wrote a very similar response. It looks like a bunch of manufactured coasters were just put in here with no thought to any theme. I've seen travaling carnivals that looked better

The mall took 15 years to complete and laid in limbo for most of them! That's why you see a lot of the older characters.

legends of the hidden temple was my favorite show growing up i was born after it stopped airing so i grew up on the re runs but it was nice to see it included

If you're like me and force your kid to watch shows from when you were younger..mainly cause I know they would love them. They will be fine. Lol.

Wells the creators of SpongeBob should have opened at least one real krusty krab in the year 2002 or 2003 cuz I remember SpongeBob got crazy popular within months of its debut back in 99

Well I work there and since COVID happened the construction and expansion is delayed but this will be expanded a whole lot more
Well, the creators didn't want a Krusty Krab.
So this is what they did with the costumes from the nick hotel.
Actually there are dozens of duplicates of the Nickelodeon theme park costumes out there. More than likely Triple Five (the company that owns the mall & park) just got new ones made for the park. Who knows where the Nick Hotel ones are now honestly. More than likely we’ll never know as apparently Viacom are incredibly strict about that stuff.

When this popped up in my recommendations I was literally all hyped and amazed that a Nickelodeon theme park was made and I still would like to go here after seeing the whole video

There’s a reason stands on a hill of its own. If everything had their level of detail then Disney wouldn’t as unique

Love Fairly odd Parents but huge missed opportunity with not making the half pipe ride Rocket Power Themed.

Definitely agree. They gave legends of the hidden temple and no kid now would know that so they could’ve made the half pipe rocket power for sure!

What a place... never would expect an indoor amusement park with so many roller coasters! Imaginative design, colors and experiences -- fun to seen when brand new, clean as a whistle and with so few visitors which just would distract from the tour! Thank you.
Compare to mall of America.. atmosphere much better at moa

They need more theaming, a few dark type rides and create an illusion that you can never see it all in one day. Several pathways and shops along the way, with lush greenery. Instead it looks like they just but a bunch of coasters in the middle of a mall. It doesn't look like much thought was put into it.
Yeah, it needs lands...like a Jungle area, Ocean, City...you can fit most of their cartoons into a couple themes and split them up to create nice sections with lots of shops between. Of course Dark Rides and Animatronics would really sell the place as high end and for everyone, rather than these rides which are definitely more for kids.

It really needs a great rethinking of greenery. They need landscaping all over. Trees, bushes, flowers, plants etc etc. Also someone mentioned dramatic lighting at night. Very good idea. Definitely give a different vibe when its night time. It looks the way it stands now a bit too industrial!!! I believe a planned effort of greenery will give the place a better vibe. Perhaps this was the vibe the were going for? Streamlined , industrial vibe? Sterile? Too sterile for my taste...
They should have done a "light-dark" ride of the inside of SpongeBob's house.

Interesting. There's actually quite a bit of theming here. Nothing on Disney or Universal level of course but at least the figurines add something a little extra to a simple amusement park.

This is like an exaggerated version of what Great America was like when I was a kid before. They had mainly spongebob rides from what I remember but a lot of Nick character and I love it. I think this looks amazing and it makes me wish there were more of these Nicktoom adventure parks across the country. Would be awesome imo.
I came there once with my mom and my cousins and I'm soooooo happy I did I had a lot of fun and I can see they added some new things to this place since the last time I came

The ride lineup looks pretty good, but the theming is meeeh.
The other Nickelodeon Universe looks way better with much more theming inside.
The theming is actually super rad, but the empty sterile mall is kinda wigging me out. I got a little emotional over Appa and Aang though, how cute!!
I would love to see this park up and running at full force! Especially if they ever opened more food and/or merch options as well as a show or something.
Pre covid there was a show but food options are a bit limited especially because the mall food court isn't completely open yet.

trust me you don't want to come to nj just for this mall, at least not right now. there are like no stores or food places open yet as the mall's only been open for a short while

@@neptune3161 Untrue. Plenty of stores are now open across all three floors. The "luxury" wing is still closed.
@@spatulashack when i went we walked the whole mall and there were whole sections of the mall that were empty, and the food court had stores but nobody in them and the lights all out... at like two in the afternoon.. so idk maybe more opened since i went :/
We could use a danny phantom attraction and one for my life as a teenage robot. Also the floor, ceiling and the snack bar could use more thought and detail.

As a coaster enthusiast this makes me very happy
I feel so sad that this theme park is in a mall that has been under construction for 15 years and until now is still not fully opened. It has faced so much tragedy and bad luck.
Me and my daughter and my friend and her two small children celebrated my daughters third birthday here last week and it was sooo much fun, rollercoasters for adults and rides for the kids. I love the scenery around the whole mall area too
What an awesome and nostalgic park! I'd love to try all of those rides.
I just couldn't help feeling sad while watching this for a few reasons. Of course, the pandemic, but also remembering how malls used to be so popular, and this indoor theme park would've been a dream for us 90s kids. The world is so different these days, idk if kids and teens would enjoy it as much? But here's to hoping COVID goes away in the next year or 2 🙏

Huge nostalgic vibes
What a nicely-edited video; you always do such a lovely job.
This seems cool; the Shredder and Zim coasters look exciting, and I hope to get a chance to ride them someday. I'm in agreement with others that it looks a bit unfinished here and there and seems like it could be full of echoes that would be hard to manage, but the really decked-out areas like the Jumping Genies (?? I'm not familiar) ride look great, engaging and full of the IP's visual style.
Other comments mentioned adding more to the floors, like more immersive flooring/decals for each ride's area and general floor lighting effects would improve this and that is a great idea, but I'm not from the area and haven't followed how much or little this project is late/overbudget/other things that would prevent all that. Hopefully it does well and can improve even more with time; overall it looks like a great concept and I'm intrigued to see how it does.
This is amazing design work, I'm really impressed
I wonder, looking at all these old nick toons I wonder if they will be doing reruns of them again?
Or better, new dvd full series collections!
I mean they have announced a Ren and Stimpy reboot, we also got an Invader Zim and a Rocko’s Modern Life movie last year

That and I miss the Nickelodeon Splat logo. I heard it was changed because "one of the higher ups didn't think it looked professional on their C.V. " which if that's the case, that's a stupid reason. Either way they should change it back! Or at least make it similar.
If anything they’ll do dvd releases, and to my knowledge TeenNick airs a few 90’s and 00’s NickToons at midnight.

Damn I wished I still lived in New Jersey. This is only 22 minutes drive from my grandmas house. Everything looks awesome and neat. . Nice and cleaned. . .I got so excited when I saw Appa!!! And the Legend's Challenge ♡♡

This is a beautiful theme park and what’s nice about it is for people who can’t afford to go to a Disney theme they can come here and have just as much fun.

Not as good as mall of America
We're IN LOVE with this theme park. Most (More like all) of the themed rides are from their best cartoons. None of the lamer ones or nothing too new where nobody recognized them. Plus, the Photo ops are to die for! We live in PA. So we're glad it's close to home. ^^
And yes, We're fans of the classic Nicktoons. 90's kids UNITE! :D
it's really funny how this is almost an exact replica of Galaxyland in West Edmonton Mall without the Nickelodeon theming (which I guess isn't that surprising since the two malls have the same developers). Thanks for sharing!

This reminds me of the Nickelodeon Splat City since 1995 and Carowinds park but it was my first time going in 2003 along with Jimmy Neutrons Nicktoon Blast in my childhood 😭😭😭
I went there two weeks ago with my friend and my parents. It was so fun to be there. All the rides were fantastic

This park is absolutely more for adults, visited it myself. There's some kid's rides, and then there's full on thrill rides. Not a lot of between.
Well, most thrill rides have a height restriction of 48 inches, so kids who are 7-8 (maybe even 6)+ can ride all the rides except Sandy’s blasting bronco (unless they’re 52+ inches)

Walked through Mall of America's version many, many times. Spotted some familiar rides between the two. It looks like New Jersey's version benefits from a wider - and taller! - space for some of the rides. However, it needs more greenery or something, as the atmosphere looked bare.

honestly this park could use some more theming as it looks like just some random rides placed in a building but looks good otherwise as a starting indoor park

Azul the Blue Train is something and the Spongebob ones are amazing
I’ve been here before, and this park is very aesthetically pleasing. Sure, it’s inside a mall and doesn’t put an effort in to hide that factor, but it just has this nice futuristic look to it. Also, stop crying about the “theming.” This is not Disney. This is an indoor amusement park. And they did good with what they can handle. The ride statues are really nice too. Cedar Fair type statues. The price is a little up there, but it’s a premium mall so naturally the things inside it are going to be premium price. If your wondering whether to go here, I would say yes. IF your a coaster enthusiast. If your a theme park enthusiast, I would only recommend this place if you are near Philadelphia or New York City
Is it 80 degrees inside of Nickelodeon universe?
This place is incredibly cool but needs a little more decor. It feels like it's all in a warehouse with bare decorations. Add a little more decor and it'll be poppin 👌🙂
