Nice work, a gigantic mine...even had some underground bouldering..just that rope protector on the exit on the first half, that had my hands sweating....cheers!
Hey Frank! Your mine exploration videos are my favorite because of how hard core you are about accessing your local mines. When you bust your way into an area of a mine, I can tell no one has been in there for a long time. All of the other explorers haven't had the balls you do and are not willing to work and move some rock to access an area. I think that is so fucking awesome that you do what it takes to access something! If I ever have the opportunity to get up to BC in my free time I would love to help you out with any labor that needed to be done to access/preserve a mine or mining equipment. I remember you gave your email on your last vid. I'll get in contact with you soon. Can't wait for you to start your next season! Thanks and take care man
OMG....your videos are so long! YAYYY. Have not even watched one yet and im subbing. My fave mine youtubers are only about 15 mins long, which are brilliant videos... but some of yours are an hour and its only part 1..... SUBBED FOR LIFE.
Wow so many cool things. Those stulls that were like way long are the longest I have ever seen. Very dangerous since they have a tendancy to bow. That's why most stulls are short. The square set was a pleasant find. Don't see to much of that anymore. There are some old working in the Bunker Hill Mine that were done with square set. You guys be safe and buy a piece of damn carpet lol
Nice to see a dry mine, up here in Washington the mines and timbers are a rotten mess with the typical knee-deep water and collapses galore. Good times!
I liked all that square set timber. Someone had to get it to the mine, get it to where they needed it in the mine on carts. Then assemble it as they made the room to use it. Just the sheer physicality of getting it in there is enough to think about. Next time more rope guys.
Wow that bike may not have been there 10 years after all, chain and carbs etc looked like it'd been maybe a few months. Was it covered in oil from the forks still? Noticed they bust out the tops on landing. Think you're right it was an insurance job, perhaps he found the frame number ground off, realised it was hot and dumped it?
CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO FINDING A FORMER 1850S THROUGH ABOUT 1900 CHINESE OWNED AND OPERATEND MINE , IN READING SWITZERLAND TRAIL OF AMERICA I LEARNED THAT CHINESE WORKED VERY HARD PLACER MINEING IN 4 MILE CANYON JUST WEST OF BOULDER COLORADO FROM IT'S EARLIEST DAY'S. AND MAY EXPLAIN 60 FOOT SPACING IN BESIDES JUST PLAIN RICH ROCK. ANYWAY IT MAKES ME INTERESTED IN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERE MINEING AND ANGLO MINING. EVERYONE HAD SO LITTLE BACK THEN BUT THE CHINESE HAD EVEN LESS TO WORK WITH..
If the Serial number on the steering stem is ground off, the feds can normally drop a little acid on the ground off surface and the numbers still should appear. But also there should be some numbers stamped on the engine block, and they can do the same to it. You guys are going to get someone in trouble for doing that. LOL "Hate that for them"

Cool to see you guys using ropes and ladders. SRT has really helped us getting farther into mines safely

That square set timbering is pretty amazing! Do you know how deep in the mine it was?

MAYBE HE WAS riding it and did not see the hole in the ground.
ahh the pleasures of being the last man up a rope. another great video!
Just how dangerous is this, I’d be worried all the time, when I see a couple poles holding a mountain of rock I think NO WAY, you guys are gutsy.
That was so cool & looked fun.
This may be your best yet.
VERY nice old wood. love to have some of it

Knob and tube works great if never messed with.
There's a growing group of mine explorers that are using strictly the gear that is period correct for the mine.
very nice,
great video
Really fucked me up at the end there when he said it looked like you were walking down a horizontal shaft.
Right?! Nuts.
17:54 Boxcar's into furries! i knew it!

Ropes and all are so well preserved so...not so old or just climate conditions? I've seen others where everything was rotten.
