I purchased mine to use in the left stick configuration you mentioned as modeling a Cirrus, but the contours and button positions of the stick and throttle don't work in that configuration. The stick is contoured for the right hand, and is uncomfortable for the left hand (there is a large protrusion on the left side to rest the right thumb in the right hand configuration, but which cuts into the palm of the left hand in the left hand configuration). Similarly, the throttle is contoured for the left hand and doesn't fit the right hand very well. And one of the button positions on the stick and most of the buttons on the throttle can't be reached conveniently when used in the Cirrus configuration. The button on the top right of the throttle is completely unreachable. The four buttons on the right side of the throttle are also completely unreachable and the two small buttons on the right front of the throttle can only be reached with the right pinky finger while twisting the right wrist in an uncomfortable manner. So I think this product works as a toy game controller in the left stick configuration, but don't buy it thinking you can simulate a left stick arrangement in a real airplane.
Yes you can "key bind" to buttons on the throttle, for example buttons 9&10... www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/d49/cxgplwq0ohm5o1y3vw641gc792u2sasc/T.Flight_Hotas_X_Profile_v2.1_for_FA-18C_DCS_2.7_OB.jpg Button 9 = flaps up; Button 10 = flaps down. Look into "modifiers" There are many potential control mappings(Key binds; It's crazy complex); and there are many people that show how to do it, for specific games and aircraft and Hotas brands (not all)... Many people upgrade to higher end HOTAS' within a year... The Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS is a better HOTAS in several ways, but not all, some people have issues with it (the worst is the joystick twist is said to be weak and can break...) But it uses "hall sensors" which makes movement much more smooth and controllable - Shrug' Also the slide on the throttle can start sticking pretty early (there are fixes, but fiddley to do...), to get a better HOTAS you'd have to spend double of triple... Depending on what game or type of sim you are playing ("real-world" or space etc) I'd suggest VKB Sim "Gladiator NXT EVO" and then a STECS Throttle System or a "Gladiator EVO Omni Throttle" which you can use as a HOSAS and for space sim stuff...
@@u2b891it does not have an assigned button to enable reverse thrust by default but you can manually assign one of the buttons to toggle reverse thrust and it work
just from this video alone, i 100% fail to see how ANY human could swap the stick and throttle positions around... The stick is right handed, and throttle is left handed. Swapping them would be fucking terrible idea..

thanks for the essay
Good video, very informative. Thanks!
Great vid with no nonsense.
I’m having trouble connecting mine to Microsoft flight sim can we get a vid on that
I try and use it for flight simulator and it says I need to connect a controller
Quick question is there some way to change the flaps or with you have to use a additional controller

Default flap adjustment is done by buttons on the throttle.
How is the Death zone
Do you need to get the rudder extension to use the rudder
No if you turn the stick to the left or tight it does it
Does it work for war thunder
Yes
Does it work with Android? In real flight simulator???
Works on infinite flight
How long of a cord? Is there an extension?
Hello, did you ever find out?
I ended up getting a long extension cord
@@paulbarina9029 cool, thanks. Also, can you do reverse thrust with the thrust master?

Can you use it on a ps5
They make one just like it but for the ps4-5. I believe its called the Thrustmaster tflight HOATAS X
