    Except for Marauders (that I personally consider a bit of an overkill), I think the Rattlesnake is the best battleship for ratting in null-sec! Solid tank, nice DPS (especially when sniping with cruise missiles and long range sentry drones - aka Wardens), plus the look of the ship 🤣

    the police will not "come to your aid" .. they will come after your ship has been destroyed by another player, and avenge your death
    . bookmark your wreck so you can come loot the ship remains
    .. a player's first ratting experience could be HighSecurity belt ratting. rats will spawn in asteroid belts from 0.8 systems or lower -- between 1 to 4 rats, often more rats with lower security systems. the rats also get a little harder with lower security. it's a good introduction to ship control, combat skills, defenses. you receive a bounty (maybe 2-6,000 ISK) for each rat killed. some rats will have loot (ammo, modules or metal scraps) which you can take. you can also salvage wrecks for items used to craft ship rigs. to belt rat, find systems with a lot of belts and warp from belt to belt looking for the pirates who will be flashing red.
    ... the next level of ratting is Combat Anomalies. these are pirate sites that randomly spawn and can be seen without scanning in the scanning window upon entering a new system

    you should show the ship you talking about in " What are the best places for Ratting?" using ships tree for example.

    Thanks for the video Mik!
    I like to use cheap frigates with mostly T2 weapons and sometimes T1 other modules. Really cost effective and teaches me good habits when I lose my ship. Many times the pirates leave my wreck alone so I can go back and get my T2 modules.
    I rat in .3-.1 space in a generally quiet region. Other times I mine.
    I'm thinking of trying to reverse pvp players by using a venture or procurer and waiting in an asteroid belt. I've heard they can be pretty good surprise pvp ships

      Thanks for the feedback!
      Really smart approach with the cheap frigates, as you said it, helps you a lot to learn the basics of flying / fighting ships!
      Donno about ventures, but the procurers can be quite effective at that, since they can pack a strong tank and a flight of drones! ✌️✌️✌️

    Great info so thank you from new player. One question I have but so far have not found an answer for is how to make any or all rats show up on my "Targets" tab in overview. Is that even possible?

    • @gamings_room
      @gamings_room  7 місяців тому +2

      Hey there mate and thanks for the feedback! 🙏🙏🙏
      You can absolutely 💯% make all the rats show up on the overview by selecting the tab you want them in (Targets in your case) and clicking the "More" button (3 vertical dots on the right side of the overview). From the menu, you select "Open Overview Settings" and then the "Filters" tab. Next, you go to the *Entity* drop down menu and from that list you select the ones that you want to be shown in the respective tab! You can select all of them by right clicking "Entity" and "Select All"!
      Mind that the rats will only be visible in the overviwe tab that you selected!
      Let me know if this did the trick for you! ✌️✌️✌️
      Fly safe until then! 🙏🙏🙏

    Is this possible to do in a Caracal? Great video but I'm worried about losing my ship. I'm alpha but thinking about Omega if I can figure out the game.

    • @gamings_room
      @gamings_room  5 місяців тому +2

      Hey mate and thanks for the feedback! It all depends on the rats you encounter! The Caracal is not the best ship when it comes to ratting, especially in NullSec space. If you plan on running missions in HighSec space, it's good enough for Level 3 security missions, or for hunting belt rats (but they are not worth the effort in HighSec), but no more than that.
      A good starting point if you want to make ISK fast in NullSec would be the Myrmidon or the Vexor Navy Issue, both of them using drones as their main DPS. If you decide to go Omega, you should train drone skills and and drone support skills to level 5 as fast as you can and then start using those ships. Also, for Omegas, a good upgrade when it comes to ratting would be some drone battleships like the Dominix, Dominix Navy Issue or the Rattlesnake but it will cost you quite a lot to start with!

      Hey! I tried veed.io some time back for voice generation, and it has some really good English voices, but I found it's not worth the effort and costs waaaaay too much! It's easier to just do it yourself! Other good voice gen software around are pictory or invideo!

      Hey mate, thanks for the feedback! I totally 💯 agree with you. This info is kind of useless IF you've been playing the game for some time. But don't forget that we all have been at that point in our eve careers where we didn't know how or what to make of it! It is intended for people just starting, and I tried to address some of the things I would've wanted to know years ago! Granted, seasoned players will find it boring or outright useless, but I really hope people just starting to fly around New Eden will learn something useful! ✌️✌️✌️

    Starts the video with saying: „eve online is known for its complexity…“ proceeds with just talking about „ratting“ while not showing how it works. Wanna know how you get those bounties? Not shown. Do I get them just for kills or do I have to hand something in? Not shown. Another one of those 1000th useless videos.

    • @gamings_room
      @gamings_room  8 місяців тому

      Hey there mate and 1st of all thanks for the great feedback! Now, with that being said, ratting usually means simply killing rats. Indeed, there are some instances where you actually have to hand something in, but those are MISSIONS and that particular activity is called MISSION RUNNING! Granted, most of the security missions involve killing rats, but in EVE slang you don't say you rat when you do missions! You wanna know how you get those bunties? Simply go out and kill some rats, meaning go out there and start ratting. I don't really think that this deserves further detailing, even for beginners, tbh! Also when i said complexity, i was talking about the number of paths you can chose. Also, i think the vid explains quite clearly how, where and what to use for ratting. If you need a video to actually show you HOW to rat, i honestly think you are doing something wrong! Hope that makes it a bit clear! 😁😁😁
