Hey dudley, love the content and you’re a huge inspiration. I’m curious how is it you get away with a 300 spine when shooting 75-80lbs for your hunting rig…or are you switching to a 260?200? Im fairly new and been struggling to determine how to find a spine for my specs as I am very similar to you. Maybe a video on arrow length? Again I appreciate all the information you provide - big thanks from Alberta.

Absolutely!!! Some bowstrings are junk! Joey’s Bowstrings: for me, the best out there!
I have Joey's also and that's what will be on my next bow.
Could you recommend any bow string brands that you like?
JBK bowstrings use them on all my bows jeff is fast and a good dude just look him up on archery talk even catfish bowstrings

Just got in the new launch series from ABB hopefully they as soild as they are advertising.
I make the strings myself and this is my problem- the pip rotates to 90 degrees. And I live with it. There are flat threads like noodles by the way and they even crackle inside the string when you stretch the bow. In movies where archery is shown, you can always hear this crunching sound to show that the bow is really tight.
you should not be hearing the string make any noise. if your having issues with your peep rotation, you likely have your serving jig set to tight. add a "flag" to your string when building it, it should not rotate more then 90 degrees idealy the less the better.
@@ccleadge I do the serving without a special device, I take a small spool with a thread and do it with my hands. The noise in the string passes over time and does not affect it in any way because of the flat thread. I bought in China a spool of beautiful two-colored threads in one thread, but they are flat like noodles. I have never seen such threads. I think this calendering technology was applied to this thread.
For sure. That's why I run JBK strings. He's a true nija of the craft. Nearly 10yrs I've trusted him and I've installed hundreds for myself and fam.
The guy at my bow shop I go to told me that a light twist is ok. Also only to move the D-loop until the string is broken in. After watching this video, is he correct or should I never have to move the D-loop?
strings dont "bed" or "break" in anymore. a well made string will be good from the first to the 2000th shot.
So the peep twist is a human error? Maybe he put it in wrong?

get some JBK bowstrings best out there and you wont have any of these issues
Bowtech strings are garbage. I will get it perfect....and then 20 shots later the peep is 45 degrees right. Replacement string...shot till broken in, then put in peep, same issue. Never using factory BT again.
Mathews guilty of putting their cheap zebra strings on their bows just to make more money off the customer, bad PR as far as I'm concerned I own two of their bows but I will not buy another Mathews bow just off this principle
