Good for training but would prefer the closed road part for speedy descending and obviously the extra speed supporters with cowbells generate 😬

Yes it's does look daunting as you see the dots of colour climbing through the green and brown landscape.... but achievable and rewarding 👍

Training time unravelled due to life.... well on the bike time did but all the other stuff worked just fine to allow me to survive and enjoy the day

@@simonthomas-lakedistrictvelo Can easily happen I suppose. At least you got a spot..I'd planned to do it for the second time this year but didn't get a look in. Couldn't justify paying £210 to ride around my home county. I'm riding the route on my tod in a couple of weeks instead.

Heading up to the lakes in a few weeks , want to try one of the hills on the course , I’m not super fit , which would you say is the easiest TIA 👍
Kirkstone is steady if you go from Troutbeck (Holbeck Lane from the Low Wood Hotel is steep) and the view from the top is Great 👍
Becareful coming down as it can be very fast.
Whinlatter from Keswick is also a good steady one with a couple of ramps and a cafe at the top.
Once you've done those you can tackle something alittle more spicy 😃
