people talk a lot about newjeans and ive and they're good too but for me musically billlie is the greatest 4th girlgroup in the game right now, they truly do have that f(x)/red velvet vibe to them and i think mystic story being a SM subsidiary plays a big part in this cause the influences are clearly there. they're experimenting and going out of the box with their production in a way that tingles your brain but without making it overwhelming like aespa and nmixx (no hate, appreciate very much their unique sound and style too) and i absolute love it. three mini albuns with no misses for me!
I love aespa, but they are very strickly related to a storyline, like in a sense it's gonna be more dramatic and badass. But Billie is connected to the storyline, but still managing to branch out. I have never heard a gg having so much diversity (at least title track wise). They had 3 cbs, and all of them had COMPLETELY different vibes. From spooky-bright, happy to hardcore rock. Bruh, and they are killing every genre. I was so shook they did a FULL rock song! Not even Dreamcatcher does that (anymore that is). There have been boy groups using rock sounds, but for ggs it's very rare tbh. But it's great to see.

I just discovered B'rave A song for Matilda on Spotify and had immediate chills! Then I listened to the whole album and was blown away! Are you kidding?! Billlie's vocals are so pretty and the album was so diverse. It gave me feels of Red Velvet's The Perfect Red Velvet album a perfect mixture and showcase of the girl's talents
Billlie's lore is highly influenced by analytical psychology research/neuroscience, specifically with psychotherapist Carl Jung's works and personal vision. That's how they link the material into their songs and album titles - Stroop effect, Mcguffins, Billage of Perception, The Collective Soul and Unconscious, and many others. You could find a lot more clues and evidence from their teasers as well. If anyone finds their albums and lore mind-blowing, the reason why is because they back it up a looooot of research that revolves around the human's psyche.
I was astonished by how good this album is, how versatile the genres are, and how good the girls' vocal is. Definitely one of the best album of the year!

Billlie definitely has some of the most creative and interesting discography in K-Pop. You can tell a lot of thought and work went into their sound. Some of their stuff reminds me of GWSN and earlier R&B Red Velvet.

Billlie is really the girlgroup that has one of the best if not the best discography until now, and not only that, they have a top tier vocal line, perfect rap line, amazing dance skills, distict vocal colors and visuals and lots of charisma.
I'm fairly certain the last one, Back to where we Belong, is a fan song, so that's why you guys are saying they should've stopped before that so that song is just there, it exists whether its meant to be there or not, but the main crazy and GOOD part of the EP is the first 5 songs that's for sure!
My taste is too varied to choose anything as album of the year but I am definitely in love with this album. I preordered every version on faith that Billlie would make something amazing and they did not disappoint. As for "B@ck 2 where we Belong", it's definitely nowhere near being as musically interesting as the rest of the album but I appreciate it as a song to kind of wind down with.

Wow! This is a treat to see that The Billage of Perception Chapter 2 is getting a reaction video! Yes, each song has given a sort of rollercoaster ride and each had their own color when I first listened to it. One thing is that, their songs are also tied in the lore and it is cool when the lore indeed appears in their music. For instance the baseball tune, there was a baseball man (based on Rene Magritte's Son of Man) in GingaMingaYo (from Billlie's second mini album). Like to point out as well that Sun Palace has some a thematical connection with Moon Palace (from their 2nd mini album as well). This is a good watch. This album is THE GOAT for 2022 so far. Every track is top tier and are so musically different and unique. The music producers and Billlie did an amazingly wonderful job for this album. McGuffin is my fave track for the whole album; it is an insane song.

billlie are truly one of a kind - even among a crop of exceptionally good idols as 4th gen girl groups have proved to have billlie just stands out from the rest, both because of the members' stage presence and highly skilled abilities, and because of the music and identity that their company is developing for them. i truly think billlie embodies something that is mostly gone from kpop - that 2nd gen magic that was just the perfect combination of exceptionally talented idols and innovative, original takes on music. that's why after 6 years of being a kpop fan and mostly sticking to boy groups, billlie have quickly climbed their way up to be my ults even if they're not even a year old.
After listening to all Billlie's songs inadequate amount of times, my b officially become my favorite Billlie's song. Tbh, I didnt like it much in the beginning, but it become better and better the more I listen to it.
i also agree that this is possibly the greatest mini album (or even album) for me myself so far and it will be hard to top this one just by how diverse and yet very enjoyable each song is. while ring ma bell feels the least billlie and possibly the weakest song of the album (at least for me), the fact that it sounds different from the rest of the album makes it a song that i will not skip over when i'm listening to the full album. overall, a really solid set of songs.

So far, Pixy, Dreamcatcher, (G)I-dle and Bi11lie seem to hold the crown for having albums with the majority of their contents being amazing...cause some of my fave GGs have a lot of songs I don't like (Examples: EXID, Loona, Mamamoo, Everglow, Red Velvet, ITZY, ect) What I mean is that with Pixy, Dreamcatcher, Bi11lie and (G)I-dle I will usually love 80-90% of an album, or even 100% of it- With other g-groups I stan, I will usually love 50-60% or even 30-40%, and that's just how it is If I don't like a song I just say it (avoid listening to it), I tend not to be biased when it comes to songs ewe
I think their previous Patbingsu tiny comeback might be good for a reaction too. Both Patbingsu and Highway Romance were older songs by Yoon Jong Shin, so a comparison of the original vs. their cover would be neat. If I had to choose though, I'd choose Highway Romance, since I like that song better.
