Somebody elsewhere had posted Skrewdriver's cover of Simple Man. but Bult Up, Knocked Down truly sounds like a Lynard Skynard song. Case of Pride is alright, but it sounds ike a reworking of Boots and Braces. Not bad for early Skrewdriver, but it sure isn't Anti-Social, or Back w/a Bang.
Yes. The chords and story line on both case of pride and built up knocked down seem influence by curtis leow by skynrd. I dont mind because main stream bands put out stuff all the time that is clearly influenced by earlier stuff.

Chuck Berry didn't invent anything. It's an unfounded cliché. He was himself influenced by white musicians like Bob Wills. For example, Junior Barnard played RNR guitar style a decade before Chuck Berry. RNR comes from many different styles of music like bluegrass, rockabilly, RNB, ect.
