Yeah, people usualy hate akuma
Daigo did not play the matchup well at all. The Lily did not play well at all. I saw some good looks here and there but he botched it. For instance.....man has wind stocks and full ex meter and allows Daigo to throw fireballs at will. Has plenty of meter and hit Daigo with ex spire and doesn't do lvl2 super to kill Akuma though he has an extra wind stock and he's guaranteed another after it hits...even though Akuma would be dead. Overusing cr. HP to throw it out to hopefully catch a limb knowing if he whiffs....which he did very often....that's an easy DR punish. Daigo didn't play it well, the Lily just played it wrong.

Once Akuma SGS'ed a baby. The baby deserved it, because it failed to jump 6 feet in the air to avoid it.
Akuma's badass pose after Raging Demon made to look extra silly because of Lilly's literally goofy ass in the shot. Contrast that with his regular lvl 3 where it looks like he sends the person directly into the afterlife with the punch.
The same comment is copy pasted in every lily vs akuma video. It's funny once

This wasnt a fight was a masterpiece.
Not to downplay Hibiki's performance here, he did real good job on seizing any opportunities he got and then just relentlessly pummeling his opponent.
But I wonder if Daigo was a bit rusty when it came to fighting Lily. He did some very basic mistakes, like underestimating the length of her punches and carelessly fireballing her.
Yeah it's fun to watch players who are 1000x better than you

@@shyraeno7417 yes, 360 motions (in this case Lily's command grab) can be completed during prejump frames, so you can reversal meaty throws with it. Zangief can do the same.

I dont even main her and I know that. She has reach and she can command grab and idk if you saw how much plus she has after that sideways drill which can either let he poke you or command crab you so idk what you talking about 😂😂😂
@@joanheartless9817at best mid tier, she can still do well but calling her s tier is as wack as calling her low tier cuz I don’t think she sucks either. She gets smothered v easily if ur inside her effective range, she can have poor defensive options although wake up drive reversal is surprisingly useful in this patch, she can be a little linear, has some good buttons that are also susceptible to DI if ur opponent makes good reads. You can live and die on 50/50s and hard reads like many grapplers. Her spire while good clashes even when charged with similar attacks that other char can do for free like blanks ball, Honda headbutt or djs fcking slide move annoying af. And it seems bison has a forward advancing move that goes through projectiles he gets with no charge needed. She can be decent but calling her s tier is goofy af

Lily is definitely mid-tier. She doesn't have the BS that the top tiers have, but she has solid tools, solid corner carry, some anti-throw loop tech, and doesn't require an obscene number interactions to win. Lily, at this point, is solid!

Lily have the same damage with his basic grappling than Manon with his Lv.4 grappling. One of them is very wrong.

Lily is among the lowest for damage output in the game, unless she's spending 6 bars and level 3, she's doing squat for damage.

@@KC_Smooth yeah it makes Lily’s damage look even more potent but that doesn’t change the fact that her damage output is high even with Akuma’s low health

Akuma is strong but getting through a stacked tournament would be a tall order with that health.
Today a Lily did a raw SA2 first & I countered with Akuma’s SA3 . Tell me why her bullshit beat me & people have the nerve to think this character stinks .. maaaaan
PS- from what I’m aware, the SA that goes second has more invulnerability

@@johnmarstall She didn't receive any substantial buffs compared to the other low tiers and received a nerf on top of that so she's still in the same spot, only difference is wakeup drive reversal helps a lot.
Not anymore after the Akuma patch.
tier lists changed for a whole year with zero patch.

@@SaltLevelsMax Disproportionately benefiting from a universal mechanic is effectively the same as a buff. Like, the mechanic does its job in making sure that everybody has a decent reversal, but when you go from 0 to 1, that is a game changer
