So many people don't seem to understand that this was not a team competition. This was a blind women's competition! The men were not actually in the race, they were just track guides. They need people that can keep up with the women's speed to not drag down their time.

The winning runner is Libby Clegg a Scottish athlete competing for Great Britain, her guide is Chris Clarke. During the Rio games she did the double and won gold medals for the 200m, shown here, plus the 100m in the T11 category. In one race on her way to the 100m final (might have been the semi final) she was disqualified but reinstated after an appeal, allowing her to go on and win the gold in a world record time. This 200m race also had its moments as the Brazilian runner was disqualified after a false start. I’m a huge fan of the para games and remember watching Libby win these races and cheering her on.

@@jenspedersen4509 Wow, way to simplify the race and dumb down the skill needed to pull something like this off for both runners. Can you imagine how hard it must be to remain in sync with your partner while trying to run as fast as you can without gassing out before the end? Not only that, but the communication between the two to make sure they stay on pace and on track? I doubt he's just some dude picked at random to run with her that day. Best runner won, but you are belittling her by giving the guy this much credit. Any of those dudes could have coached her to win. It's not about that. They are there to help her stay in her fucking lane... the rest is talent, practice and mentality... just like it is for people with normal vision. There's no way this is as easy as running solo, hence why I give credit to both. Common sense tells me they had to have trained together for quite some time to be able to do this. I doubt two people can be this coordinated with each other with minimal interaction beforehand.

I can see why the OP is so proud of this posting. Obviously the subject is highly interesting. The song that was chosen fits the first part as a comment on her daring and the resourcefulness of the racing method. Second part comes in with good timing as well. Good stuff.

Absolutely incredible ! ❤ gives me goose bumps !! Such an incredible team!
I’m curious if they are together or is he purely a team partner trained to be her guide! The hug at the end makes me feel they might be together as a couple. Very touching. Makes this even more beautiful ❤🥹
But even if they are purely a team for track as her guide , such a beautiful experience and bond they must have. Such a beautiful thing for me to witness 💗
Such a brave and admirable women to pursue track. She’s incredibly fit and brave. The team work to build this type of trust within one self and another is very admirable ❤

@David Bastos obviously as my comment states the beauty of their relationship regardless if it’s romantic or not. I was simply inquiring if they are a couple as that could put another dynamic aspect to their relationship…. Ha or not.🤷🏼‍♀️
      It was simply a curiosity.
