So many people don't seem to understand that this was not a team competition. This was a blind women's competition! The men were not actually in the race, they were just track guides. They need people that can keep up with the women's speed to not drag down their time.

The winning runner is Libby Clegg a Scottish athlete competing for Great Britain, her guide is Chris Clarke. During the Rio games she did the double and won gold medals for the 200m, shown here, plus the 100m in the T11 category. In one race on her way to the 100m final (might have been the semi final) she was disqualified but reinstated after an appeal, allowing her to go on and win the gold in a world record time. This 200m race also had its moments as the Brazilian runner was disqualified after a false start. I’m a huge fan of the para games and remember watching Libby win these races and cheering her on.
