Bro I just got on a massive streak from d3 to c2 just as I switched from kbm to controller. I simply just didn’t push into the corner unless the ball was gonna go mid and my tm8 was nowhere to be seen. Being less mechanical forces you to make smarter decisions and it helped me so much. 😮😮
Former gc1 here. After a few seasons not playing placed in diamond 2 in random 2s. Ive just been doing the spookluke tactic where even though i have better mechanics than everyone i just stay back let them make mistakes and pass me the ball . And also my teammates miss the ball a lot so its good that im staying back in defense and clearing it . Currently c2 and teammates cant do basic backboard reads 😂
@@EpicDeathRider classic rl. I’m like the least mechanical person in basically every single one of my lobbies, yet I can still do crazy outplays and hold my own in c2. It’s crazy how op decision making is in this game and how much people neglect it or fail to improve it.
@SadStar69 good stuff bro. Reminds me of a pod cast where a ssl was asked how mechanical do u have to be for ssl. And he responded by saying u can get ssl by only knowing the basics like flicks and recoveries and just being consistent and fast with it. No need for triple flip resets and things of that nature. And i 100% believe that 😈
@@EpicDeathRider bro a two touch air dribble is all you need most of the time. If you are capable of doing really good ground play and defense on the ground and in the air, you are an unstoppable force.

9:00 I’ve played against micka, and now I’ve played against you (thanovic) in ranked 2’s just yesterday. I played against you months ago in a 3’s tournament and I lost by 1 (both times were just stumbling into you, it was a surprise cause I wasn’t stream sniping not that I watch rocket league streams often but I do watch rlcs) Now that I’m gc I’m starting to play against all the same people in Oceania cause it’s such a small region and queues are starting to take longer which sucks. 😅

if you moved to the us you would be ssl
No if he moved to the us he would be the opposite he's in oce so he would be low gc if not c3 in the us
@BHGMaximus a lot of people think it’s much harder to rank higher in Oce because our pro players sit around GC 2 or 3 sometimes as they won’t find games at ssl consistently. So to climb higher we have to beat harder opponents
@@Thanovic im c1 rn and i see people my rank in other regions and its just so much worse i think u would easily be ssl.
the only exception is i think pros outside of oce are better
gc in 2024 is just something else, new game ALL TIME something new for example tm8 can't do speedflip/aerial and other simple stuff, and next game i just play in rlcs lobby

and that's why you're still gold.. you'll always be a low rank if you focus on the wrong things. You can get to GC+ without any mechanics. BTW putting half flips in there is just silly, lmao..
