他作了很多视频在 / loki2504 Learn a language at: www.lingq.com Visit my blog: blog.thelinguis...
Steve, you are such a sincere and genuine person. I can see this from the effort you've put into learning Mandarin to such a standard that your command is among the level of native speakers. Bravo! And it's always nice to see Felix, he is also such an inspiration.
Love it love it! Thank you just the tool I was looking for! And great Topic! Subtitle would be nice to further improve learning! Gracias gracias xie xie
Hi Steve! How are you? I have a question about how you improved your spoken Chinese. In some of your videos, you said that you need to get yourself in a situation in which you have to speak the target language for a certain amount of time at one point to be a fluent speaker. In case of your Chinese, when and how did you get such a situation? How long did you continue it? I'm very curious to know. I hope my English question is OK enough to be understood=) Thank you for your answer!
自修 ("无师自通") 这种意念是 Luca 在一部录影用英语谈过: "Language cannot be taught, it can only be learned".
I would say Felix's English is better. Felix's Mandarin vocabulary seems a little limited. His French is his best language, so, learning English is very easy for him. Both English and Taiwanese Mandarin pronunciation are about the same.
out of 35 minutes, I personally dont think they could have discussed enough subject matter to accuratly evaluate one another, But the seem to have communicated fine, and thats whats really important
As far as accent goes, Mandarin is superior. 100% native like. However he seems to have the same amount of proficiency and sophistication in both languages to me :)
In my opinion they both speak excellent mandarin. Steve actually does have a bit northern accent whereas the Asian guy sounds a bit from south. They both have standard pronunciation. China is a vast country there's no such standard for mandarin.
I did not understand a single thing but I find it pleasurable listening to this conversation.
Let's enjoy many foreign languages.
your pronunciation is amazing, thank you for sharing the video.

Love it love it! Thank you just the tool I was looking for! And great Topic! Subtitle would be nice to further improve learning! Gracias gracias xie xie
Fantastic! I live in Hong Kong, I am learning mandarin everyday, but you are better than me!
AMAZING! BRAVO!

Amazing! How many languages can you speak Steve?

I understand their chinese.
But I can't understand the native speakers! Great video. Thanks a lot!
As far as accent goes, Mandarin is superior. 100% native like.
However he seems to have the same amount of proficiency and sophistication in both languages to me :)
also his swedish is very good. not perfect but really good.
Excellent!
@loki2504 i see what you meant about accents now... @lingosteve i like this video alot!!

Egnus My best stive Kaufman
aah i love you two :)
wah u not bad
sehr gut. Ich will dir enie Frage stellen. Wie kann man sehr gut Deutsch lernen? Ich bin Chinese und lerne Deutsch und Englisch Dolmetschen.
the young man is not native to Mandarin?
no, he grew up in Belgium..he has mandarin speaking parents but he grow up in Belgium and in the video, he said his mother tongue is French.
Steve speaks excellent Mandarin. I can't find a single mistake. The other guy speaks in a strong 'Taiwain' accent.
Manjie Zhang steven
grats Steve
im sad, i only speak english spanish and french :( jealousy :D
You're off to a better start than most
😛
does the chinese guy speak other languages too?
+interests10 His native language is French, and he is a polyglot.
Some dialects in China such as Cantonese and Hokkienese may be very diffcult for the Mandarin-speaking people to understand.
He has a YT channel indeed, find him as loki2504
He is not Chinese; he is from Belgium and his native language is French.
Felix
Why does Steve talks like that? I mean the face expressions.
Western mannerisms, but I bet he can do a really good robot facial expression like the other guy if he really wanted to.
Both of your Chinese is not standard. The standard Chinese exists in North China, not South China.
Who cares?
@@Thelinguist lol, as long as you can communicate and have a deep and meaningful conversation, your accent can be non standard and it doesn't matter.
In my opinion they both speak excellent mandarin. Steve actually does have a bit northern accent whereas the Asian guy sounds a bit from south. They both have standard pronunciation. China is a vast country there's no such standard for mandarin.
