I know that very well, I've been a fan of Raubtier since early 2009. Mainly superior military power, doom and alcohol to be correct. The overall theme is fighting for survival in a barren land. Which is also a huge metaphor to describe the Metal's fight for survival in a world of Pop, Hip-Hop and mainstream crap.
But surprisingly many songs are about love or lost love. "Hjärteblod", "Polarvargen", "Allt förlorat", "Dit vinden bär" and "Förgätmigej" for example.

Actually the "Dobermann" and "watchdog" are just metaphors.
The lyrics are told from the perspective of a person who is overly attached and overprotective towars his partner.
Simply a sick confession of love.

Yes, the Swedish version of this song tells the same story.
But you are free to interpret the lyrics however you like. :)
Myself I thought of a "true to his master"-dog were telling the story for the past 3 years. Just a lil' less than an hour ago I found people saying it's a metaphorical song of overly attached love.
Now I view the lyrics differently. :)
