I am joining YorkU this coming winter and was looking into the campus accommodation, I have a couple of questions-
1. U mentioned in one of the comments that you paid $560, however the website claims that its is roughly $1200, so could you explain how ?
2. I understand you opted for Assiniboine Road Apartments, but which type? This look like the 1-Bedroom, is that correct ?
3. How did you go about the application as I am unable to gauge how to apply ?

Hi Bani, thanks for the video. Yours is the only one that shows the inside of the apartment in details so we can gauge the size and features. I have 2 questions though:
1. What is the bed size? Is it double?
2. I see that there are 2 sofa chairs and a small table in the bed room. Are they part of the sofa set in the living room?

1. For 1 bedroom, it will be a single bed. For 2 bedroom, it will be queen sized bed.

"Applicants are NOT required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)." For the prospect part, I would suggest you to get on LinkedIn and talk to people who have already pursued this degree.

Yeah, for Master level, I am sure, you can choose your own roommates. In fact, you will have to look for people to live with you.

I have a question, can 2 students get the 1-bedroom option even without being in the same room? Like one would stay at the living room and the other would stay in the bedroom?
The rule has changed, so officially you can't but a few people still do.

Difficult to come with the exact number but the university has a decent number of Indian students.

However, given the recent move-out announcement from the residence because of the nCov, should we be concerned if we could still move in later? May we know if you're still living in the residence? Hi Kim, I am glad this could be of value! I am still staying in Assiniboine but they are requesting (not forcing) people to move out. Only those are encouraged to stay who have no other place to go. For your move-in status in, you can contact the housing service on apstatus@yorku.ca. This will clear your doubt.

I have a quick question. I am planning to live in one of these bachelors. However, I read on a blog that the building is infested with roaches. Is that correct? Did you have the bug or insect problem in your flat? Could you please answer my question? Thanks
Hi Kanadali, I am glad you like the videos!
Regarding roaches, it depends from apartment to apartment. I only know a few instances of this thing happening. Also, if something like this comes up, you can always inform the housing apartment and they will fumigate the apartment or take certain measures to rectify the problem.

The answer to this is very subjective. Depends on what you find easy/difficult.

No. Canada offers almost negligible scholarships for international students.
