This was just the sort of simple jig I was looking for. Thanks for posting it. I'm wondering how you ensure that the back that the piece is clamped to is square to the table.
One addition I’ve seen guys make is adding a couple perfectly square glue blocks to the back of the high fence where it connects to the horizontal to add additional security.

As long as your fence is square to the table and you make you jig to fit snugly tight to the fence, then the jig should also be square to the table.
