  • How To Find Out Who You Are and Your Purpose in Life. How to discover your talents and strengths...This morning I woke up and read a little bit of Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I was inspired to sit down with a pen and piece of paper and start writing what came to my mind. After writing three lists of things I know about myself I was surprised to find I had created for myself an extremely eye-opening and valuable exercise that has helped me find my voice as a human being. I felt this is something I wanted to share for you...so here you go!
Step 1. Make a quick list of your aptitudes (your natural talents and things you are good at)
Step 2. Make a quick list of your specialized knowledge (training, expertise, things you know about or how to do)
Step 3. Make a quick list of your core philosophies (what do you believe, your world views, beliefs about money, love, etc.)
Watch the video and I'll walk you through the exercise and explain!

I followed your 3 step plan and I am one of those who has to rethink everything and find that by the time I am finished rethinking I have talked myself right out of it (looking at everycase scenerio) However in writing it all down I discovered a few things about myself and what I came up with is that it's somehow all related to my voice and no not singing lol thank it is a start!!!

Do people not realize that THINK AND GROW RICH is a TONED-DOWN version of Napoleon Hills law of success in sixteen lessons? Listen or read the original they pulled it off the shelf back then because they knew how accurate it was and then put out the toned down version which is think and grow rich. Dont listene to people saying you are valuable when you yourself know that statement is empty when it concerns you.
If you dont know what to do, do something.you will find your purpose along the way.
Focus all your time amd energy into one thing and you will bloom. Thats it
      Example:
If you dont know hlw to play the piano and i give you one, nothing will come out of it.
But if you dedicate yourself to it. Keyhole all your potential and time into the piano
You will explode at the other side of the door and the amount of thing you can do with and learn from the piano will be unlimited.

I know it sounds stupid but during the lockdown I tried playing football manager (ik it sounds stupid compared to learning something like the piano) but I tried playing l football manager, alright I'm not great at it but I'm much better than I used to be. I think it just shows how powerful games are really and how they really take your mind off problems in life.

This video popped up on my 'recommended videos' and UA-cam must know me well because I couldn't agree more with you. I'm so glad that after your epiphany you decided to film and share what you came up with. Blending the 3 lists is a brilliant way to bring your passions and gifts to life, most people don't break it down like this. It's logical, rational, AND spiritual- the formula to bring it reality. I'm also a big picture thinker so it was cool to see you mirror back to me what I see in myself. You're a rad guy with that has an important message to share with people, keep sharing your light and vulnerability, it's appreciated. ~ Tiffany

Very good. Instead of going to school and wasting time w useless facts, learn what u are good at, and train mostly on it. Mine was acting, so I was homeschooled and sent to an acting school. I also play guitar, keyboard and sing.

+Ely Hoshea “The best way not to be bored is to do what you like doing, typically something you’re good at.” - I think you may enjoy this article www.psychologytoday.com/blog/open-gently/201212/why-people-get-bored. I understand where you are coming from Ely. I would spend some time with this exercise and even revisit often to dial in on what lights you up. Creating a morning routine for yourself that includes self-reflection and ingesting inspirational or motivational info will also be of massive benefit. Some great books are "Think & Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill and "How to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Just feed your mind every morning (even if you only have 4 minutes to spare!) and you will experience a shift much sooner than you might expect. Thanks for your question and I hope this helps!

This was a great video. I very much enjoyed it. I will check out the book and try this exercise. I feel i have been blessed with quite a number of talents, (artistically) however I have no idea what to do with them, or myself for that matter. :(
I feel like everything you mentioned here was about me.
Thank you for this video. It's very much appreciated.
You should make more videos. You have a great voice and presence. :)

The list that gets me the most is the first one. I have low self-esteem so it's hard to write that kind of stuff down. I think I could probably do the other lists, just not quickly. I loved this video it was fantastic and you were as well! Watching this video gave me more of a sense of calmness then clarity. As I previously stated I love this video, can't wait to see more and I'm going to subscribe to your channel after posting this comment 😊

So happy you found value! I recommend you take this free personality test before doing my exercise. It will reveal some of your natural aptitudes that are sometimes difficult to spot in yourself. www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test Give is a go see if this helps! Often, people find they have talents that they would never label a talent until they realize other people don't have it and wish they did. We are so close to ourselves it's difficult to see value in them, but they are there. Enjoy!

Eric Coplen thanks for the test it was really accurate. I am a mediator type and tend to idealize and romanticize things. I knew these things yet I didn't want to at the same time. I appreciate you replying and sending that helpful link. I will try try your exercise later. I'm not in the greatest mood, and I wouldn't be able to focus. That was really awesome thanks. I can't express the gratitude (on the right level) I have for that link. I understand myself a bit more now. Hope you are having a good day.

I figured we have a lot of things in common except from the skills. I feel my purpose is more than I can take cause it involves a whole lot. But, thank you for your advice, I'd try to narrow them down one after the other.
