I'm not sure if I am more impressed with your hands for putting it together and making it look easy or your fabulously creative brain for thinking it up! Looking forward to more!
i realize ur video is aboit a yr old but for halloween this year 2016 we found a beautiful mermaid costume. not ur average Ariel theme. A nice turquoise n light purple mix with pearls n such. im very artsy crafty and decided your idea of a mermaid crown would be the authentic look we were going for....i am proud to say i acomplished this look. not exaclty of course i stuck with the idea matchning her costume. as far as the headband n wire i went with that n used felt to cover up. added pearls n rhinestones here n there. would loooooove to show you. Thank you so much for this tutorial it was very useful!!!! love it!~
This turned out better than I thought it would. When the video started out, I was confused about the fabric use but girl you are genius and to add you're lovely to listen to. Very soft spoken.
Respect ... your work is worthy of any great costume designer. Your talent is immense and I want to congratulate you. Congratulations and long life to your chain
Alex Garcia, I 2nd this.😊 ...Usually I don't watch a full tutorial, but this one I did and it was because of that beautiful softly spoken tone she has. This is now one of my top favorite tutorials.
You are incredibly talented! Thank you so much for sharing...it was an excellent video, very concise and explained everything in such perfect detail. I really enjoyed watching you create this elegant masterpiece.
+Elizabeth Harding Thank you- I've been working on making my videos interesting and easy to watch, so it's great to hear comments like this. There's more to come!
I really love this crown. I'm going to the coney island mermaid parade in June 2020. O love the concept and height of this crown I will probably go even higher and and sea shells. I will send you pictures. Thanks again
Love this!! I want to make a mermaid crown for my 4 year old granddaughter who is so girly girl and this may be exactly what she would love! Thanks so much for sharing
It's called Azure Tide Pools Sequin Open Weave from Joann Fabrics. There's a link with all of the info in the description box, but it is a seasonal fabric so it goes in and out of stock. I have found similar products though from other stores, often in the costume fabric section.
Hi there, I'm just in a crown making fase and this comes in so handy so I subscribed as I am doing lots of makeup tutorials and crowns and head pieces are so great with makeup looks, I love learning from you !!! If you watch my channel you'll see me wearing some of them already and I will be wearing more as I'm doing a Winter Fairy and Snow Queen soon with crowns. Love and Light, Nancy's Love For Makeup, keep up the good work !!!
I wish I remembered the exact name- it's from Joann Fabrics, and when I went back for more, they told me it was one of their specialty fabrics. They tend to be seasonal, so if I see it again or get a memory jolt, I'll post about it.
+Judy Bielik The fabric is not only back in stores, but I found it in a couple of new colors! www.joann.com/azure-tide-pool-fashion-apparel-fabric-sequin-open-weave-white-silver/14693634.html
Helena A. You will need to 'refresh' the page if it does not let you add to favorites. It happens to me almost every time I want to save a tutorial. I hope that helps.
Fendi Alecia Thomas That's actually a completely separate piece- I took several strands of hair, braided it and sewed it to a piece of ribbon, then pinned it into my hair and put the crown over top.
I'm a little hard of hearing so I have a very hard time hearing you. Your voice is very low even with the volume all the way up. This crown is absolutely beautiful
What a spectacular tutorial!! Thank you for taking the time to teach me and share your talent. Wow! Thanks so very much.

Kisses from Portugal!
Helena A. I'm not sure why you can't favorite it, but I'm glad you liked it- thank you! xoxo
Helena A. You will need to 'refresh' the page if it does not let you add to favorites. It happens to me almost every time I want to save a tutorial.
