  • Resepi kek potong oren khas buat peminat kek oren. Kek ini rasanya masam-masam manis dengan campuran jus oren segar bersama sunquick oren. Kek oren ini menggunakan curd oren yang dipaip di atas kek. Simpan kek ini di dalam peti sejuk supaya tahan lebih lama. Resepi ni menghasilkan 16 potong kek oren.

    KEK OREN:
    5 biji kuning telur dari telur gred A (suhu bilik)
    1/4 cawan gula kastor/gula pasir halus | 50 gram
    1/4 sudu teh garam | 1 gram
    parutan kulit oren dari 1 biji oren
    1 sudu teh esen vanila
    1/4 sudu teh pewarna oren
    1/4 cawan minyak jagung | 60 ml
    1/4 cawan jus oren | dari 1 biji oren
    1 & 1/2 sudu besar sunquick oren
    1 cawan tepung gandum | 125 gram
    1 sudu besar tepung jagung | 7 gram
    1/2 sudu teh baking powder | 2 gram
    Meringue:
    putih telur dari 5 biji telur gred A (suhu bilik)
    1/3 cawan gula kastor/gula pasir halus | 70 gram
    1 sudu teh cream of tartar (boleh ganti dengan 1/2 sudu besar jus lemon/cuka)
    CURD OREN:
    2 biji kuning telur
    1/4 cawan gula kastor/gula pasir halus | 50 gram
    Sedikit garam
    Parutan kulit oren dari 1 biji oren
    2/3 cawan jus oren | dari 2 biji oren
    1/2 sudu besar tepung jagung | 5 gram
    1/4 sudu teh pewarna oren
    1 sudu besar mentega | 15 gram
    ORANGE SWISS MERINGUE BUTTERCREAM:
    putih telur dari 3 biji telur gred A
    6 sudu besar gula kastor/gula pasir halus | 75 gram - lebihkan jika suka manis
    Sedikit garam
    3/4 cawan & 1 sudu besar mentega SEJUK | 185 gram
    3 sudu besar curd oren
    1 sudu teh sunquick oren
    1/4 sudu teh esen vanila
    pewarna oren jika suka
    SAIZ LOYANG : 8" X 8"
    SUHU MEMBAKAR : 170℃ | 338℉ SELAMA 45 KE 50 MINIT, ATAU SEHINGGA CAKE SKEWER/LIDI PENCUCUK BERSIH BILA DICUCUK DI BAHAGIAN TENGAH KEK. GUNAKAN API ATAS BAWAH DAN BAKAR DI RAK TENGAH. PANASKAN KETUHAR SELAMA 10 MINIT SEBELUM MEMBAKAR.

    Delicious, fluffy, moist orange slice cake scrumptiously flavored with fresh orange juice and orange sunquick. I made orange curd to decorate the cake. Refrigerate the cake to preserve it's freshness and to prolong the shelf life. This recipe makes 16 pieces of orange slice cake.

    ORANGE CAKE:
    5 egg yolks from 5 large eggs (room temperature)
    1/4 cup of caster/fine granulated sugar | 50 grams
    1/4 tsp of salt | 1 gram
    orange zest from 1 orange
    1 tsp of vanilla essence
    1/4 tsp of orange coloring
    1/4 cup of corn oil | 60 ml
    1/4 cup of orange juice | from 1 orange
    1 & 1/2 tbsp of orange sunquick
    1 cup of all purpose flour | 125 grams
    1 tbsp of corn flour | 7 grams
    1/2 tsp of baking powder | 2 grams
    Meringue:
    Egg whites from 5 large eggs (room temperature)
    1/3 cup of caster/fine granulated sugar | 70 grams
    1 tsp of cream of tartar | 4 grams (options: 1/2 tbsp lemon juice/vinegar)
    ORANGE CURD:
    2 egg yolks
    1/4 cup of caster/fine granulated sugar | 50 grams
    A pinch of salt
    Orange zest from 1 orange
    1/4 tsp of orange coloring
    2/3 cup of orange juice | from 2 oranges
    1/2 tbsp corn flour | 5 grams
    1 tbsp of butter | 15 grams
    ORANGE SWISS MERINGUE BUTTERCREAM:
    Egg whites from 3 large eggs
    6 tbsp of caster/granulated sugar | 75 grams - more if you like sweet
    3/4 cup & 1 tbsp of COLD butter | 185 grams
    Salt to taste
    3 tbsp orange curd
    1 tsp of orange sunquick
    1/4 tsp of vanilla essence
    Orange coloring if you like
    BAKING PAN SIZE: 8"X8"
    BAKING TEMPERATURE: 170℃ | 338℉ FOR 45 TO 50 MINUTES, UNTIL INSERTED SKEWER COMES OUT CLEAN, USING TOP & BOTTOM HEAT AT THE CENTER RACK. PREHEAT OVEN 10 MINUTES BEFORE BAKING.

    imagining the intense orange flavor and creamy curdy too 🍊🍊🍊😋😋, just now i had to lookup buttercream, usually only 3 ingredients right butter-milk-sugar combo plus vanilla, first time seeing an egg-white-double-boiling method woow thats so cool my friend 👍👍🤓🤓

      Yeap, they're scrumptiously flavored with oranges..😁, moist and tangy! owh, in my recipe I was using swiss meringue buttercream, it's a bit different from the usual buttercream. Hope you'll like my baking creation🥰🥰
