One incident happened with me n my wife. I am a professional Tarot card Reader, pendulum dowser and astrologer. Through pendulum dowsing I used to check energies and also connect with them . There are different levels of Brahmins. Some are Vedis, Divedis, Trivedis and Chaturvedis. These names were given based on how many Vedas they have knowledge of. These later became surnames. But anyone could acquire knowledge of the Vedas that they were interested in. But the fourth Veda is called Atharva Veda and it involves practices of blackmagic, ghost control, entering dead bodies and such kriyas. Even the Brahmins who are taught the Atharva Veda are asked to only study it and not practice it as it is reserved only for a select few. The Aghoris & some special sects of Shakta are the only ones who practice the Atharva Veda. The practictitioner is required to follow strict rules and should be able to handle all situations without getting scared or having a feeling of ghrina. They should look anything and everything as a process created by God and hence respectable. But some Brahmins are not able to handle these and have a sense of contempt. When they die, they retain their knowledge of the vedas but the lack of their ability to go the full length after committing to the path causes them to suffer long periods of time as Brahmarakshas.
But do note that there are great Brahmins who are capable of capturing and do prana pratista of these Brahmarakshas in temples as temple gaurdians. This is common in Devi temples in Kerala.

@@wwehighlights2879 Depends a lot on your location. Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam is very strong in Occult practices. There you will have knowledgable practitioners who can handle such energies. In Kerala, we have Kodungallur Bhagavathy Temple which is also known to treat people who are possessed by powerful entities. Similarly Alathiyoor Sri Hanuman Swamy Temple is also very powerful. And then there is Manimoortheeswaram Uchishta Ganapathy Temple in Tamil Nadu. There are many powerful temples, but what is critical is that the diety is ready to come down to help your specific situation. They should have sympathy for your condition. Because of your Karma, all dieties might not be happy to come to your aid. eg. a friend of mine had Bahuchara Mata as his Kuladevi, but he didn't know. When he started facing a lot of issues in his family (family members ill health, financial issues, etc), he looked into his spiritual situation. It appeared that his Kuladevi was angry with his family as they eat chicken (which was her mount). He & his family had to commit to not eating chicken forever. So, they can eat any meat except chicken or eggs.
