I have heard MOST of her songs. YES we’ll said this comment and the reaction. She’s is involved with Disney too. All her songs are all all well done and performed. Look her up!
Indeed she does. And tons of b-sides, covers, songs for soundtracks, demos, etc. Only a few months ago I stumbled across some random demo from the last album called "Wake Up." And honestly? It might actually be my favorite Aurora song ever. It's......literally perfect. Just too short is all. What's really exciting is...in a recent interview during her current tour, she mentioned she's currently deep in the writing process for the next album and has already written "thousands" of ideas. Now....I have to imagine she was being a bit hyperbolic there, but still....I don't doubt she's written a ton of stuff, given how many unreleased demos exist from past albums. I really hope she officially releases those demos in some form some day soon. A number of them are too good to not be accessible should they ever be taken down from UA-cam. Especially "Wake Up" and "Big Blue." Those 2 are among my favorite tracks she's ever made....touching on genres like trip-hop and shoegaze in ways I haven't heard her do before. I love those songs lol...
Aurora the singing storyteller... this side of her is so amazing. Yes, she is the victim, that says her truth before leaving. But we don't know enough to be sure what really happened and why. So it's up to us to interpret things in our own way, as she said in some interview. A stunning performance indeed. Nice reaction.
Great reaction. Aurora is something. She is like a gentle hurricane, an intense emotion, a vivid dream. You can´t escape her, she takes your hand and leads you to another place. Please try next her signature song "Runaway" from the same concert that she wrote at age 11.
She is ethereal, I highly suggest you watch her sing her song, 'through the eyes of a child' live at Nidarosdomen, it's breathtaking and really shows her vocal skills to perfection. Plus acoustically it's spectacular' 💕
Aurora is amazing. She just gives so much emotion in her songs. There are so many songs of hers to choose from. I think her live performances are always better x
She is incredible, natural artist from Norway. She has so many interesting and great songs - all written by her. She has also some great covers (many made within a hour as a radio station challenge). It is really worth to jump in this rabbit hole. Her music hits you hard if you has this type of sensitivity. She is mix of great elements (like she is very in music and she really feel music and transfer this emotions (you believe her), great storytelling, great voice tone and generally great natural voice control (all self touched singing, playing piano, songwriting), great often poetic lyrics etc). Sometimes it looks like she is like walking art as even in interviews you can see she is an artist:).
You're new to Aurora!? So exciting. :D She's just...the best. I hope you do a ton more reactions to her...I like your vibe. There's a huge Aurora fan community that will so be here for that. I highly recommend the following 4 performances...and I think most Aurora fans would agree: *_"Lucky" @ Nidarosdomen, "It Happened Quiet" @ The Current, "All is Soft Inside" @ KEXP Iceland, "Under the Water" @ The Honda Stage._* Those 4, along with this one you watched, are kinda agreed on as THE definitive Aurora performances. She has many many more beyond that which are just as brilliant....like "Soulless Creatures" with the Bergen Orchestra. But that's a very good start...and a good sampling of her various vibes across both songs and time. Have fun! Really hope you get to those....I'm subscribing in the hopes you do! :D
for "pre-stadium" AURORA those are undoubtedly excellent choices--though I'd add "River" or The Seed on the HAIK video. Then her live TV intro to The Gods We Can Touch to sort of catch up with her latest ideas. I suspect her next album will return us to the cabaret and the darker, deeper work.
@@t1r3deye5 All good choices as well. I'm quite curious what she'll do next. I don't think she's peaked. And 3 of her most recent songs, are among my favorite yet. "The Woman I Am"...when I first heard it, I thought it was an alright pop song. By listen 7 or so, I was HOOKED. That effervescent "eeh eeh" vocal motif, the syncopation, all of it. "Wake Up" is a demo from TGWCT sessions, and might be my favorite song she's ever made. It has this dark trip-hop/dream-pop feeling...but it's hopeful and uplifting. And "The Devil is Human" I think is lyrically excellent...and another cool foray into a more trip-hop sonic world. She did cover Teardrop after all....and I would love to see her explore that sound more, personally. Or even some blissed-out shoegazey stuff like her demo "Big Blue." Whatever she does....I'm certain it's gonna be excellent. She strikes me as a massive perfectionist who's always chasing this big grand epic perfect album. I love that kind of yearning aspiration in artists.
One of my favorite songs and possibly my favorite human. Aurora is eerily unfiltered. Genuine. Spooky in a good way. Unfiltered in both lyrics and body movement. Uncanny and a bit "odd", but really satisfying. I love her and wish I was more like her.
A wonderful reaction video to Aurora's 'Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)'. I can see it in YOUR eyes that you sense the power in Aurora's songwriting and performing. She puts her soul into telling her stories. I see that you stood at the conclusion of the song. The song is about a 'mercy killing' of a woman that was facing the horror of her illness. Thank you for this ... I hope that you react to more of this artist.
Great to see Aurora on your channel, Harri! This is the performance that made me an Aurora fan for life. It's one of the greatest performances I've ever seen by anyone. She always lives the story she's telling, but even by that standard, this one is something special. She was admittedly very scared during this concert, and I think her losing herself in the song was her way of coping with that fear and nervousness. She's since learned to love performing, and she no longer battles that fear. She still is a great storyteller, who lives every song, but in a more extroverted way.
She is very special. Her songs are sung with total emotional involvement. Some, like this, she is the song. Others she is involved with her audience. You wait for the Nidarosdomen Concert, a true masterpiece.
I really enjoyed this reaction👍 And I’m definitely subscribing if you continue reacting to my favourite artist💕 “Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said : 'Ok, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad." AURORA "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them." AURORA Could you please react to her breakthrough song “Runaway”🙏😍 She wrote it when she was 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, but as she grew older she knew that home meant home to her parents💕 This is one of her most important songs and one of few songs that are about herself 😊 She rarely write songs about herself “Runaway” is the song that inspired Billie Eilish to become an artist 👍 The best performance is at the Nobel peace prize concert 2015😍 Another important song for her is “Through the eyes of a child” live at Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017😍
Aurora also performs a breathtaking cover of the Ariana Grande song "God Is a Woman" that is so different it draws out the depths of that song that might get lost in the bass drop on the original.
I've subscribed hoping you'll do more Aurora, This girl is a a marvel! Beautiful singer and equally beautiful human being. This wasn't unusual, she immerses herself so far into her songs that at times you see her physically have to shake herself back to reality.
Hello Harri , great reaction again (I saw "The Seed"). Thank you. This is probably the saddest love song I've ever heard. A man shoots his wife to end her suffering. Can love be bigger and more painful at the same time than in this story? AURORA manages to make this pain palpable with her voice and her movements. You have seen AURORA's eyes. She wasn't on stage. She was somewhere else. You saw how deeply she was thinking about these two people, that she sometimes shook herself uncontrollably. I believe that she is not conscious of her movements. She's so into the story in her head that she's doing the moves in the story. I heard that AURORA was horrified by these movements when she saw the recording of the performance. That means for me that she did it unconsciously. Her empathy must be beyond measure. She spreads all her feelings that she has in this moment in front of us and lets us look into her heart and soul. There is no other way I can explain that almost everyone who saw this performance was affected by this story. AURORA is more than a storyteller, more than a singer. AURORA is a true artist. This is from an interview with Aurora: "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them." And in another interview: It’s just fascinating that some people can have in them the desire to kill while some people cannot pick a flower without feeling bad. That's about this I wrote 'Murder Song'. How can a man kill someone he loves and it happens often in the world. But he doesn't really understand what he did, it's a very complicated story. Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said: 'Ok, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. She is a singer, songwriter and producer with a style all her own. AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back. Three important bits of information I found from another commenter: 1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” - AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th. 2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. - AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together. 3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death. Which artist does that? Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany
Such a fascinating performance..... I'm going to have to rewatch it, probably more than once in order to figure out if/why I'm so intrigued. Unusual for sure, captivating definitely, but was it enjoyable........?
Stop following me! Just kidding lol....if anything you beat me to this video by like 2 hours. Honestly I kinda sorta look forward to seeing you, Lill M, and Tim Grosky in the comments. But it looks like we all beat Tim this time. Anyway....I'm just being silly. btw...out of curiosity, given your name, I assume you're Scandinavian? Mind if I ask where from...just the country? I find Norway and Iceland fascinating and would love to visit sometime. And you can literally blame it all on Sigur Ros, Bjork, and Aurora. Those three have done more for the global image of their home nations that I think people realize....
Yup, Norway :) Land of fjords and brown cheese. It took me over a year to train the algo to serve me the videos instantly rather than waiting for them to become popular, but finally it realized :) Yeah, its interesting to see and hear all the comments from reactors and commentators about Norway. I've realized people seem to have a good impression, but it's just another country in the end. Nothing special in the water here, BUT, we do have Aurora, which makes me super proud. I've met several Warriors from various countries at Aurora concerts here a few times, which has been super cool. I'd be up for meeting and saying hello if you'd ever decide to make the trip!
Soo glad that you like it. Marvelous reaction sir! This is one of her most stand out perormance. Yes i love her eyes too. Her eyes is the most epressive ever. Love her tear notes. Subs you man. For continuing this journey.
I Just saw her live performens from Sao Paulo and it was epic. She is Aibel to make Big arena consert intim and personal. I love that Girl. Great reaction👍
Harri she is the most perfect human ever created inside and out you should check out more LIVE songs of hers. Lucky, Runaway, Through the eyes of a child, Rasputin and many more.
AURORA is incredible!!! It's about a woman who wants to die because she has dementia or something where she'll become worse. She asks her lover to kill her. I would want someone to end it for me before becoming like my mom with dementia did. She became a vegetable. I'd rather have quality vs quantity of life. But at the same time, it would be hard to kill a loved one, even if they asked for it.
Actually she wrote Runaway when she was just 2 months old. AURORA FACTS! It's ok that you didn't know that btw. But yeah, she wrote the chord progression and melody when she was around 3 weeks old. And the lyrics were completed around 7 weeks. And when she turned 2 months old...she booked the studio and laid down the basic tracks. Obviously mixing and mastering came a little later...because she wanted to wait for her fetal skull to fuse fully. But yeah! Aurora facts! Fun times!
I've always interpreted this song as when you have to let go of an animal soul that you have loved immensely. The sadness, the sorrow but having to do it to prevent more suffering 😢
only discovered her last night. beautiful, angelic voice. very dark song. her style reminds of a mix of Billie Eilish, Bjork, Kate Bush, Cranberries...very interesting.
It's not a horror story. It's an intensely sad love story. The person killed convinced her partner/lover to kill her out of mercy. She convinced him. "I know, he knows that he is killing me for mercy". One of her absolutely best performances.. Lucky, Live at Nidarosdomen is another one. Absolute perfection
I share Harri's interpretation that it a song about the psychosis of a murderer and the victim's loving forgiveness of his crime. The juxtaposition of horror and innocence, love and insanity, murder and forgiveness, makes it so haunting. That and Aurora's intoxicating artistry.
i think she was the best in the beginning of her career, when she was not used to all this attention she received. like in this performance wehen her eyes tell the whole story. imagine performing at such a young age in front of that audience at the nobel peace prize. i love all the stripped back stuff she does, but i'm not such a huge fan of her studio records.
and it's about time to digg into this artist here as well, anna von hausswolff, with stranger live ua-cam.com/video/shITgBENI6w/v-deo.html or fancy an eerie music video? the mysterious vanishing of electra ua-cam.com/video/Nre0hcDz5TI/v-deo.html
It's actually about a couple dealing with a terminal illness and not letting the illness cause her more pain. But that is still murder according to out dated laws.
She is a powerful story teller because she literally becomes the songs. You will love hearing more of her work.
🤣🤣🤣

AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together.
3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death.
Which artist does that?
Have a nice day and
Greetings from Germany
Such a fascinating performance..... I'm going to have to rewatch it, probably more than once in order to figure out if/why I'm so intrigued. Unusual for sure, captivating definitely, but was it enjoyable........?
Thank you Sir :) Loved your reaction! Aurora is not like any other artist. Or any other person for that matter. Hope you keep going with her.
It took me over a year to train the algo to serve me the videos instantly rather than waiting for them to become popular, but finally it realized :)
Yeah, its interesting to see and hear all the comments from reactors and commentators about Norway.
She has lovely eyes, she's very expressive, a wonderful dancer and she would make a fine actress. Check out her studio version of this as well.
I Just saw her live performens from
Sao Paulo and it was epic.
She is Aibel to make Big arena consert
intim and personal.
I love that Girl.
Great reaction👍
Harri she is the most perfect human ever created inside and out you should check out more LIVE songs of hers. Lucky, Runaway, Through the eyes of a child, Rasputin and many more.
Her vocal control is phenomenal!
Fantastic artist. Her music video "The Seed" is well worth watching too
You just discovered GOLD...!
Beautiful Song. Beautiful Reaction. More Aurora please. Suggestion:
- "Runaway" (Live at 2015 Noble Peace Prize Concert)
- "It Happened Quiet" (Live at The Current)
Great reflections !! Cheers from Norway
She mesmerizes me every time.
😢 THIS WAS TUFF ❤🇿🇦
Such a beautiful, haunting voice! She is a very physically expressive singer.
Aurora = LOVE! Gruß aus Norddeutschland.
YOu should do her song Runaway. ITs great and she wrote it when she was 11.
Your reaction nailed every part that I felt.
Bravo
😊👍
This girl' here voice! 🥹❤ its so damn toutching !!
That was 🔥🔥
Can you do hi ren by ren. Your mind will be blown
Wonderful reaction, you get it. Hugs from Sweden.
Thank you so much ❤
It happened quie 😊t live
So happy that you found Aurora besides Angelina Jordan.. my two favourite artists. 😊
only discovered her last night. beautiful, angelic voice. very dark song. her style reminds of a mix of Billie Eilish, Bjork, Kate Bush, Cranberries...very interesting.
❤- from Bergen ( Auroras hometown 🥰)
for me Aurora is an experience.. she does not fit in a music category.. she is something like art itself would become alive.. hard to explain
Oh i like how you liked that !
Nice react :)
Angelina and Aurora. Norwegian water.
Welcome to the Warriors and Weirdos. Love from Sweden :-)
susanne sundfor, please. when the lord
Harry have you ever listened to Renaissance. If you like Aurora you will love Annie Haslam. Please react to Ashes Are Burning.
i think she was the best in the beginning of her career, when she was not used to all this attention she received. like in this performance wehen her eyes tell the whole story. imagine performing at such a young age in front of that audience at the nobel peace prize. i love all the stripped back stuff she does, but i'm not such a huge fan of her studio records.
and it's about time to digg into this artist here as well, anna von hausswolff, with stranger live ua-cam.com/video/shITgBENI6w/v-deo.html
or fancy an eerie music video?
the mysterious vanishing of electra ua-cam.com/video/Nre0hcDz5TI/v-deo.html
It's actually about a couple dealing with a terminal illness and not letting the illness cause her more pain. But that is still murder according to out dated laws.
New Sub. ❤
I’ve heard it explained that it’s a father killing his daughter as she dies from terminal cancer. An assisted suicide if you will .
Nidarosdomen.
Interpretation? Nah mate, she wrote this.
The song is about a real case of love. An old man killed his beloved deeply sick wife to release her from pain ❤
