You can't buy a new unit directly from the store, but you can buy a currency that can be exchanged for "constellations". Their system works a bit differently you don't get the "constellation" directly when you pull the same character, you get a material that becomes a "constellation". The higher the tier the more pieces you need to complete it. But you can also farm this material (up to 2 per day for 2 characters) by doing a daily "quest". Most my limited 5 star units are like 3 out of 5 "constellation-wise" just by doing this daily. And I'm 100% f2p there. I'm planning to buy the monthly subscription and the battlepass in Wuwa as top-ups will probably be overpriced as always.

Aside from damage output, utility is also a big factor in determining weapon value. There are 4* and 3* weapons that give flat Concerto energy generation and an energy recharge sub stat. These weapons are useful because Concerto energy is required to trigger a character's outro skill. And Energy recharge affects how fast they can fill their resonance energy for their resonance liberation (ult) As of cbt2, there are no other ways to increase concerto energy generation. This means these weapons are your best options for supports with strong outro skills such as baizhi if you want to minimize their required off field time ito trigger their outro skills and to maximize your actual main dps' on-field time.

I know you covered this some but since WuWa is more skill expression with the team building it makes it slightly harder to build teams because your skill matters somewhat more than the character in some ways

I feel like there is a missing piece of information that could also be useful here: How much damage does an R1 4* weapon deal? In the early game, we should likely have a bunch of 4* weapons at r1, or at least at a low refinement level. Over time, r5 should be achievable, especially if we are investing on weapon banners, but... If we are talking about early game investment, knowing who much damage an r5 3* can deal when compared to both an r1 4* and an r5 4* should help make more informed decisions. (Especially if the BiS 4* is a BP weapon and there is no way to reach r5 early on.)
I wanted to ask how the amount of weapon recourses would change if someone were to buy the battle pass, it seems to me that it'll be 1.5x~2x resources. Also is it possible to fully clear the highest difficulty tower of adversary with 3 teams of 2 resonators (meaning 6 fully build resonators)?
Yes that would change, however I have not included the battlepass here, as I wanted this vid to stay as F2P realistic as possible. Again, if you pay, you shouldnt care about this video. I am not sure if you can use just 6. Probably depends on your equipment, the characters, the affixes from the TOA floors (they are basically just buffed up Lv120 holograms iirc)
Not going to lie considering the experience required to level up a 5 star weapon compared to a 4 star weapon is entirely useless, because its so irrelevant, the xp shouldn't even be a factor in this, and if you invest a certain amount of xp into a 5 star and the same xp into a 4 star the 5 star will be better at that level. So it is irrelevant either way
It's not just exp but also the ascensions mats. However you are not entirely wrong. A Lv90 4* needs as much exp as a lv85 5*, while the 5* is ahead of the 4* (at least in this example), but the 5* also needs significantly more ascension materials. However this video is not about comparing 4* to 5*. It is about comparing all the rarities and setting a focus on 2/3 stars. As I said in the video, it is usually always better to invest into the higher leveled ones if you care about the long game. But if you are F2P and your goal is to clear TOA asap, you wont have enough resources for going 4 and 5 stars at a high level on all your resonators, evem disregarding that you wont have that many 5* or R4 4*. I only want to show that investing a few resources into 3* to achieve said goal is a viable possibilty.
