  • John Marohn, professor of chemistry and chemical biology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Cornell University, describes how to image molecules and atoms using specially designed microscopes that peer into the world of quantum materials and quantum computers. He also describes how magnets are used in superconductors such as magnetic resonance imaging machines (MRI).
Prof. Marohn’s presentation was part of the College of Arts & Sciences’ “Arts Unplugged: Science of the Very, Very Small” event that explored some of the exciting innovations in nanoscale science and their ramifications for human society.
