- Malawians are holding a vigil for their Vice President, Saulos Chilima, who died in a plane crash earlier this week.
21 days of national mourning have been declared.

Wasn´t he accused of corruption? And I´m just curious - why do those people cry so much over a person they never met?
The case was dismissed.
He was well known in Malawi by everyone...talk of the youth...even little children knew who Saulosi was...he was open...he could play basketball with the youth...he was brought up in Blantyre and we could cross with him whilst driving in the streets of Malawi.. even though he hadn't started politics we all knew him as one of those important men in Malawi...RIP Saulosi Malawi loved you!

What we know is that the accusations was to silence him to speak out about the corruption of the current government, plus greedy got in the way of our president, after he was purdoned the president announced that he was going to run for presidency again contrary to the initial agreement when they formed the tonse alliance

I knew it!!! Soon as i looked at both men after the crush and the fact that it was a millitary plane visiting army installations with some of the top brass, i immedietly alarm rung bells that a coup plot might have been in the agenda
